To plan ahead, visit your program page and check the “Program Cost” section for expected expenses and any additional required items. Many students wait until the first week of classes to hear directly from instructors about what’s required or recommended, but if you’d like to prepare early, you can find your instructor’s contact info on the syllabus in Canvas and reach out directly.

Something to Note: About two weeks before a new semester starts, the "Find My Books" button on the WCTC Bookstore website will display the specific materials you need based on your class registration. If your course lists “DDA,” that means your digital textbook is already embedded into your course—no separate purchase needed.

You’re also welcome to buy or rent your books elsewhere (like Chegg, Amazon, etc.). Just be sure to get the correct ISBN from your course syllabus and purchase the exact edition your instructor requires to avoid issues during class.

Download these helpful apps on your phone:

• Outlook: Stay on top of important emails easily by checking Outlook daily.

• Canvas: Quickly check your grades, course announcements, and updates on the go.

Note: It’s not recommended to do homework on your phone due to limited functionality.

If you’ve used Canvas at another school, delete and reinstall the app to make sure it’s properly connected to your WCTC student account.
