In Detroit housing was very scarce and expensive at the time, and the fabric for the Zoot Suits was limited because the military needed it for the war.<br>2. The Zoot Suits represented Chicano culture, however Americans believed the material Zoot suits are made of needed to go towards war efforts.<br>3.
