Nucleus Arts is the Award Winning flagship arts organisation founded by the Halpern Charitable Foundation. The Foundation was the brainchild of the late Hilary Halpern and it was his dream to promote the Arts in Medway and Kent. Nucleus Arts has become the cultural and creative heart of Kent & Medway since it was founded in 2002, and focuses on affordability, accessibility and excellence in the Arts.

 Featuring a wide variety of works by local artists, Nucleus Arts aims to prove that beautiful, original and unique works of art can be both attainable and affordable, whilst at the same time providing low-cost studio space to artists in order to enable them to be able to practice their Art.

 Now in our 21st year, Nucleus Arts has sites in Chatham and Rochester where artists can create and display their work. Open to the public (and free to enter), constantly updated, the Halpern Galleries are a haven for local art lovers and a wonderful retreat for those who want a little something different from their shopping trip.

The Swale Media Arts Centre is a volunteer led community centre based in a former shop in Sittingbourne High Street. We have been running activities and workshops for the local community.

We are a CIC and have a Board of Trustees from across Swale who work with our volunteers to run and manage the centre and its activities.

Through our life drawing classes, we aim to foster artistic growth and skill development by creating a supportive and inclusive environment. We believe that the human form is a remarkable subject for artistic exploration, and our classes offer a space for artists of all levels to come together, learn from one another, and push the boundaries of their creativity.

In addition, we recognise that many talented artists in our community may struggle to gain recognition or exposure for their work. That's why we are committed to providing a platform for these artists, giving them a voice and an opportunity to showcase their talent. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to be seen and appreciated, regardless of their background or level of recognition.

By combining the nurturing of artistic skills with the promotion of local talent, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive artistic community in Kent. We strive to inspire, empower, and connect artists, fostering an environment where creativity thrives and art becomes a catalyst for positive change.

Together, we are the Kent Art Collective, where artists come to learn, create, and shine.

Led by Saffiere, but with lots of visiting and guest artists, classes are available for both children and adults and are held daily, including our after school art club.

We are a registered community interest company and not for profit business and charge nominal fees to attend our Classes and it is our sincere belief that art can bring out the very best in both children and adults and unite communities. We have a vision to make art and creativity a staple part of our community.

A place, where you can express yourself in your own unique way and a place where we make new friends and gain new interests.

Not only do we offer the chance to learn new skills, but we hope that people will gain friends and support and a new interest to bring joy to lives.

We have a small Gallery Coffee Bar where you can purchase snacks and drinks, a lovely seating area where you can just sit back, relax, chat and make new friends and everyone is welcome to pop in, even if you aren’t attending a class. We would love to see you
