         <description><![CDATA[<p>-Put ice in a plastic cup and to make sure cup doesn't melt put 10 seconds and took it out and checked on the ice after 20 seconds of microwaving ice melted.</p><p>and then it just melted, and the cup was hot and there was just a puddle and melted in 15 seconds.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Ice cube on desk</p><p>Just didn't melt it still hasn't melted, I think. It's still cold and barely any water in cup from ice melting.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Ice cube in hands</p><p>Melted very slow but faster than it just being on the desk. Hurt Kevins hands and it melts very slow i think slowest out of all the things we tried.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Ice cube in hot water</p><p>Just melted into the cup and became part of the water. connects to thermal energy because hot water is boiling and very hot and all those vibrating molecules affect ice cube and heat it up causing it to melt.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Lamp(light)- results did not come back as planned, the ice didn't really melt.</p><p><br></p><p>Hands- it melted very fast, froze my hand :(</p><p><br></p><p>Hot water- melted extremely fast, as expected.</p><p><br></p><p>Normal room temp- melted pretty fast no effort needed.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>It connects to thermal energy because of the heat, and the different amounts of it to melt the ice.          <description><![CDATA[<p>-We tested the ice cube in a cup, in water, in someone's hand and in tin foil. We observed that the ice cube in the cup melted the least, and the one in water melted relatively quickly. The ice in the hand meted the second most, and the one in foil melted the most after that.</p><p>-This connects to thermal energy because the reason that the ice melted dis because it was increasing in thermal energy which meant that the molecules started to move faster, causing it to melt.</p><p>-This connects to change of state because the ice is changing from a solid to a liquid by the change of state called melting.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>When you put an ice cube in different conditions, it will melt at different speeds. The more thermal energy something has, the warmer it is and the faster the ice cube will melt around it. If something has more thermal energy than the ice cube, the ice cube will gain some of its thermal energy from that outside force and will eventually melt. </p></li><li><p>As the ice cube gains more and more thermal enery, the particles will start to move around more and spread out until the ice cube has changed into a liquid.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

We observed that depending on on the environment the ice would melt faster or slower. The hotel the environment the more quickly it would melt for example the one in hot water melted quicker because the water was hotter than room temperature.</p><p><br/></p><p>This is related to thermal energy because the things we used sped up the melting proses.</p><p><br/></p><p>The ice changes the state because it makes the ice hotter and makes it melt faster and change from a solid to a liquid.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
