Motivation: My native Kherson region suffered terrible consequences of the war, including environmental, socio-economic, and humanitarian problems. Interesting fact: When traveling I always seek out observation decks with panoramic bird's eye views such as observation towers, town halls, bell towers in different countries and cities.

Важливі питання – розмінування, відновлення екологічного балансу, відбудова зруйнованого. Я бачила жінок на війні. І я знаю, що вони можуть зробити для миру. Цікавий факт: майже три тижні куховарила на лінії оборони українських військ під Сєвєродонецьком, мій роман «Тінь кота» зайняв перше місце на Міжнародному конкурсі «Крилатий лев» у 2022 р.

I am PhD in IT, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the NASU (Kyiv) and Associate Professor at the Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav.

Motivation: I am from Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. Today these are temporarily occupied territories. But the time will come for Luhansk Region to return to peaceful life. Important issues that need our solution: mine clearing of the territory, restoration of the ecological balance, reconstruction of the destroyed. I saw women at war. I know what women can do to restore to peaceful life. I am looking for a like-minded individuals among university womens professors and womens students. These objectives can and must be pursued together.

Interesting fact: I spent almost three weeks cooking on the defense line of the Ukrainian Amy near Severodonetsk; my novel “Shadow of Cat” took first place at the International Competition “Krylatyi Lev” in 2022.

Беручи участь у цьому проекті  працюю над собою, своїми знаннями, вміннями, мережею контактів, щоб мати змогу створити та показати якнайкращі умови для української молоді.

Цікаві факти:

Вільно володію французькою мовою; вирощую квіти з зерняток та цибулин, (бачу у цьому педагогічний процес); вірю, що талант є у кожного.

Очікування від програми:

Читаючи попередні презентації мої очікування уже збуваються. Я бачу однодумців, сильних, незалежних, дієвих жінок, які прагнуть докластися до успішного розвитку держави та усвідомлено ставляться до НАДважливої  ролі освіти у цьому процесі.

Також, очікую знайти відповіді на питання, практичні інструменти для роботи зі змінами, попрактикувати «helicopter view» над діяльністю коледжу. З нетерпінням чекаю роботи з міжнародними та національними менторами, щоб напрацювати детальний план впровадження конкретної зміни для коледжу.

I’m Olga KAGALO, Deputy Director for Development and Communication. I’m growing talent of Ukrainian youth at IT College of Lviv Polytechnic (Lviv, Ukraine).

Motivation :

In my estimation, an educational institution is a mini-model of the state. Educational institutions are on the path to implementing democratic changes and therefore need active and competent leaders.

Taking part in this project, I am working on myself, my knowledge, skills, and network of contacts in order to be able to create and show the best possible conditions for Ukrainian youth.

Interesting Facts:

I am fluent in French; I grow flowers from seeds and bulbs (I see this as a pedagogical process); I believe that everyone has talent.

Expectations from the program:

Reading the previous presentations, my expectations are fulfilling. I see like-minded, strong, independent, effective women who strive to contribute to the successful development of the state and are aware of the EXTREMELY important role of education in this process.

I also expect to find answers to my questions, practical tools for working with changes, I expect practice a «helicopter view» of college activities. I look forward to working with international and national mentors to develop a detailed plan to implement a specific change for the college.

Glad to be on the "ONLY" project. Thanks a lot for idea and organization.

Дуже хочеться запустити свій "Intelectual Open Space" для студентської молоді, щоб формувати у нової генерації лідерів навички тімбілдінгу, комунікації, проєктної діяльності, уміння застосовувати інструменти фасилітації, фандрайзингу та краудфандингу в практичному житті. Ще мене дуже бентежить, що наші університети здебільшого не є безбар.єрними, що не дозволяє відкрити двері до навчання усім!!! мірю змінити цю ситуацію у Чернівцях, щоб за студентську парту могли сісти молоді люди на протезах, на колісних візочках, з вадами зору тощо. Оскільки багато років досліджую фемінізм та є гендерної експерткою мрію в цей простір запустити гендерний освітній проєкт для молоді!!

HELLO! My name is Maria Mandryk-Melnychuk, I am a historian and political scientist, writer, translator, gender expert and trainer, professor at Bukovynian State Medical University.

An interesting fact about me: I adore dogs (I have a Golden Retriever ), piano music to which I write my books, traveling, I firmly know that for those who strive, doors open and sooner or later everything works out!!!

Motivation: when you realize that life is too short, you would like to make it as rich as possible with pleasant events, communication with interesting people, get inspired, find your own and do your own thing. That is why I have been working for many years on the implementation of non-standard methods of teaching and learning of Ukrainian and foreign students, in order to interest them not only in history, to form cognitive interest, individuality, uniqueness in everyone. I really want to launch my "Intellectual Open Space" for student youth in order to train the new generation of leaders in team building, communication, project activities, and the ability to use facilitation, fundraising and crowdfunding tools in practical life. I am also very confused that our universities are mostly not barrier-free, which does not allow us to open the door to education for everyone!!! I am trying to change this situation in Chernivtsi, so that young people with prostheses, in wheelchairs, with visual impairments, etc. can sit at the student desk. Since I have been researching feminism for many years and am a gender expert, I dream of launching a gender educational project for young people in this space!!

Expectations from the program: to get into an interesting intellectual environment, learn from the best and share your experiences; I dream of supplementing my knowledge about the life of university communities, how it can be made freer for teachers and students, which western management models can be applied in Ukrainian higher education institutions.

An interesting fact about me is that I am learning Korean as a hobby and already have a confident Intermediate level.

My name is Maria and I work at the Center for Servant Leadership Programs at Grinchenko University (Kyiv). I am lucky to have a job that combines almost all my interests - English language, psychology and communication with people. Together with colleagues, we try and create and implement various programs for students and employees.

In addition to working at the Center, I have been trying to complete my dissertation (also on leadership) for many years. I hope it will work out soon :)
