The husband moved to the U.S to get a job and make money. The wife was pregnant so she had to stay back in China. This was a pull factor because he was poor and the U.S had jobs, so he moved to the U.S to work and make money.</div>]]></description>

Those Chinese immigrants had to move to Hawaii because they got kicked out of the United States because of the Chinese Exclusion Act. The Chinese Exclusion Act is when Chinese Immigrants weren't allowed into the U.S, so many immigrants were sent to Hawaii and some were sent back to China.
