Many will say they won because they made it befor the US but they only made it to space. 

2. It made possible human spaceflight in low earth orbit and to the moon. both US and the soviet union made it possible but the soviets finished with it first. but they both made It possible. 

3. The US and Soviet Union were competing to send the first satellite to the moon and venus. The Soviet Union won.

2. since people were making it to space they wanted to make sure no one was bring nuclear bombs so they made a treaty, pretty much saying how your not allowed to bring any nuclear bombs. makeing sure no one was trying to blow up the planets. 

3. there are also people that were going to space so they needed to make sure everything was safe for them. Now in 2022 they know what to expect and going through lots of training make sure they are ready to get sent out to space and be safer.
