In my classroom, I feel that my students need to improve on their understanding of Digital Etiquette. When the students get excited about what they are doing using technology, they frequently begin to act silly (they laugh, make faces, and have interrupted filming) when completing their work on the devices. I believe that role playing and teaching digital etiquette concepts as part of my classroom expectations will help my students act appropriately.

I think the most important thing that kids need to remember about being online is that you need to treat others just as you would face to face. While teaching kids about the internet and all that it has to offer, we need to be teaching them to treat others with respect and kindness.

I think digital etiquette is an extremely important skill that students need to learn more about and understand the importance behind it. This is a life long skill that can be transferred to everyday life. This ties into social skills and how to effectively communicate in a positive, support, and kind manor. -Sydney Acers
