I would like to reach a higher level in my job, and I want to be more confident to speak in this language. Also, I would like to do my master's and live in the United States. 

Right now it's not a requirement, but in the near future it will be in my job. 

I'm not fluent enough when speaking in English, and sometimes I don't know how to express my ideas clearly.

I have watched some videos and interviews, and I like to read books, recipes, news and Education related things  in this language. 

I have been limited to get to a higher position in my job.

I am thinking  dedicate about 1 hour and half

I do not do it usually, but, when i procastinate my productivity goes down, so i can not compled my daily tasks

English has been my second language and I have always tried to improve to a higher level. Since my last job I began to notice that my oral skills needed to be improved, so I decided to take this opportunity. Apart from that, I think that English is essential, because we live in times in which it has been the language that connects the world.

A big part of those situations were at my previous job, where I had to make phone calls (ex: scheduling meetings, requesting information, following up with customers, phone conversations with clients, etc.).

I can not have fluency on my speaking. I would like to have good fluency, an extensive vocabulary and know how to incorporate phrasal verbs on my conversations without overthinking.

I have watched series, YouTube videos, listened music, read books and spoken with people when I have the opportunity. 

I would say that ,currently, it affects me more in the professional field. I feel that I do not have enough confidence as when I speak in Spanish, and I would like to have or create a good interpersonal relationship with customers and clients.

I would like to be a C2.

It will give me the chance to connect more with people without worrying or thinking too much.

Everything would be easier and better.

I have planned 1-2 hours a day. 3 days a week. 

When I set a goal I always try to reach it …… sometimes I tend to procrastinate, that's why I try to make my goals as much realistic as I can. The bad thing about procrastinating is that sometimes I can not reach the  goals on time and it tends to prolong everything.

I decided to sign up for this course because I want to improve my English’s skills specially my speaking.

I’m just required to speak English when I’m working, but I’d like to be able of speak in English in every situation of my life not only in my job.

The first problem that is bothering me is that sometimes my vocabulary is not enough and I need to make a pause to think about the word that I want to say. The second one is that sometimes I can´t understand what people are saying.

I´ve read old conversation’s books in order to increase my vocabulary and also I listen a lot of English songs

They haven´t affected my job because I have a necessary vocabulary for my working area, and in my life they´ve made me feel frustrated sometimes because I want to speak fluent and I’ve felt like I will never reach it.

I would like to have a C1 level 

My motivation is that I don’t want to think that the English is an obstacle for me.

A higher level of English would help me to get a better job, I want to become a sales executive or representative in a hotel and for those positions the high level is required. Once I get what I want i will have accomplished a goal and that will make me feel fulfilled. 

I pretend to dedicate from 45 minutes to 1 hour every day, and depending on the day that could be in the morning, in the afternoon or at night. 

 

Yes, I do, but I also do what I have to do, even when I procrastinate.

Many jobs here in DR and abroad requires that the candidate must be proficient in English.

I am struggling with developing my speaking skills.

I have tried using different methods and signing up on many courses.

I have not be able to get better jobs opportunities because of my English level.

Like upper intermediate. I would like to be able to communicate clearly and with a minimum of mistakes.

Overcome all the obstacles and reach the desire level

A higher level of English could affect my job and life in a positive way, as I would be able to apply to job posting abroad DR and maybe get an opportunity to move out to another country.

· 30min in the morning before work. 

· 1h at night before going to sleep.

· 4h on weekends.

Yes, lately I am getting the bad habit of using my cell phone while study.

Well, the main reason for me, is because to talk in English is the competence that we need to have more develop on these days. It would mean a new job, or even a new career.

 

In this moment, in my job, I have not been required to speak english but, I am planning to have another job, and if I have the opportunity, I will work abroad.
 
 3- What are the problems that are bothering you?

 

The problem that is bothering me more is the lack of opportunity to practice with another person. 

 

 

Since I realized that I would have to do more, to overcome the typical “problems” for people like me, who do not leave in the US, I have started doing shadow, listen to all podcast that I can, and also watching all the videos that I can too.

 

Well in this moment neither my job or my life, it has been affecting because of English is not a required tool.

 

 

The level of English proficiency that I would like to achieve is C1 (this year). I need and I want to talk in English effortless and accurately. I seem myself using this language as a tool for work, either in DR as outside. 

 

 

Well, my main motivation is to work in different fields, as an english teacher, as a customer service or in any other field where English is been required as a tool. 

 
 8-How would a higher level of English affect your job and life?

 

Well fifteen years ago, I am really sure that I would have got a better position working in US as a Trade Marketing Coordinator… 

NOW this is more serious and important than before because, this going to affect me directly on the next twenty years of my life. 

  

 

From Monday to Friday, is going to be one hour every day watching some documentary, listening to a podcast, or watching live news, or all of them. Also in my other class, advance 5, where I must talk a lot with my classmates.

NO, I do not. Most of the time.

The negative effects are the wasting of time and, the possibility to lose some good opportunities.

A higher level of English would allow me to apply for some roles in my job I wouldn’t have been previously eligible for.

I’m planning to study English at least one and a half hour in the morning from Monday to Friday.

Yes, I do. It has affected me in so many way, for example I started my master’s degree studies on October 2019 and I was supposed to finish them on August 2020, but I didn’t finish till December 2020 because I started working on my Postgraduate Dissertation very late.
