Though this mass murder had been executed in a deliberate way and people had actually admitted to  have been slaughtering this large mass of the African-American population due to these horrific lynchings, by definition this would not be considered as a genocide, This, by definition, would not be considered a genocide. Reasoning toward this surprisingly unorthodox ideology is that even since this had been a deliberate homicide against the black community, it wasn't done in a systematic form. The racist population would find any reason to take it to the extreme and murder any African-American who wronged them in ANY way by these horrible lynchings. This would be considered a form of a race extermination, not a genocide. Since most of these lynchings had been done to purely MURDER the black community, nothing about it had been formal. In most of these awful lynchings the person that had been slaughtered had ended up in not even being remembered by their own name.  Though I personally agree that this was in fact a genocide, some may disagree due to this misdefinition. This could be their only form of justifying that this could ever possibly not be a genocide.

It was justified- allowed in America- for the simple reason that they were black and therefore did not deserve the right giving to them by the sixths  amendment- the right to a fair and speedy trial.

Because they were black they had to be guilty - they were guilty and no trial would say other wise. They and their families would have to pay for their sins and one would stop it and no one had the right to.

In reality this was far from the truth ,but that was the reason behind the people who cruelly murdered and raped African Americans- Justice.

The actions of the Untied States towards African Americans was cruel and had no justification. People can't choose what race they are born in to so why is it fair that a certain race was enslaved, lynched and burned. African Americans had no fault for the things occurring to them. They were treated as subordinates just because of the color of their skin. The white Americans felt they were entitled to do as they wanted just because the African Americans were property but why treat your "property" in such a way. They weren't setting there houses on fire so why were they setting their slaves on fire. White Americans just simply could not have come up with a justification for the crime they have committed.

Yes, I do believe this was genocide because a lot African-Americans were being lynched and humiliated publicly just because they were black.  This became something casual at around this time period and kids who were exposed to this grew up thinking this was normal and that there was nothing wrong with this.
