Gameplay: Undead will start from across the bay, and must cross the river using boats (no going around) or swimming. Other than this, it will act like a normal field battle in the unclaimed streets and plains of South Island. One life. All gear allowed.

Goal/Reasoning: South Island, lying at the center of the AWC, is a vital strategic point. From it, one can cut off the access of the Everlife to the mesa region, entrapping its large and harvestable armies and ensuring that reinforcements cannot arrive. The one who controls South Island has a great deal of control over the AWC. Being so strategic, it will be heavily defended, meaning plenty of souls to harvest. That said, no tower can be built here because it isn't up high enough.

Gameplay Reason: This is a great opportunity for a D-day style battle, and a field battle in an actual semi-developed town that will be fun to fight around.

Win Effects: If the undead win, they progress to "FIELD BATTLE OF THREE RIVER POINT." If the living win, they progress to "FIELD BATTLE OF ERRINNIA"

Gameplay: Undead start at the northwest area (near but not in Merambat), Living start at east bit near the coast.. Both sides have 30 minutes to build a fort before they start attacking eachother. One life, EQUAL gear.

There will be 3 rounds: If the living win the first round, they occupy the undead fort and the undead must attack from the north. If the undead win the first round, they occupy the living fort and the living must attack using a naval landing from the east. In RP, these are allied reinforcements coming from across the river. If either side wins both the first and second round, they win the battle. If neither side does, the same situation as round 1 will be repeated (both sides having been pushed back to their base) and that round will decide the battle.

Goal/Reasoning: After the living victory at South Island and the Undead's failure to procure the souls they need from the living armies, the Undead are forced to retreat back to Zephyr while they regroup and re-arm for their next attacks. The living counter-attack Merambat, the capital of the late Errinnian Empire. They don't want to fight a grueling war of attrition against fortified cities on the Utocaminan Peninsula to get to it, so instead they bypass the peninsula from the North and set up fortifications outside Merambat. The Undead army quickly moves to Merambat, and along with the city garrison sets up a fortress outside the city itself to prevent living forces from reaching it.

Gameplay: Another chance to do a battle like we did yesterday but it works if the Living win the previous battle. It will be a fun battle between 4 different biomes, finally leaving the mesa. It will be against the backdrop of a large city but not actually inside it.

Win Effects: From the earlier conquest of Errinnia by the Undead, there shall *already* be a totem in Merambat. If the Undead Win, they shall simply grant more souls to the totem, increasing its power. If the Undead win, progress to "FIELD BATTLE OF LUCRE." If the living win, progress to "FIELD BATTLE OF THE TAIGA"

Gameplay: Undead start at the north bit of the bulge shown here, Living start at the south bit. Both sides have 30 minutes to build a fort before they start attacking eachother. One life, equal gear.

There will be 3 rounds: If the living win the first round, they occupy the undead fort and the undead must attack using a naval landing from the west.

Goal/Reasoning: The Undead want to go east to capture the populated city of Noorsalikh, on the border of the Mesa. Capturing this city would allow them to harvest enough souls to end the war quickly and easily. But after crossing the river from their victory at South Island (which is to the southwest of the image here), they find that the living army is already there waiting for them. In RP, their entire army has not yet crossed the river, which explains the reinforcements for the second battle.

Gameplay Reason: Another opportunity for a tower and an opportunity to effectively repeat what we did yesterday in the cliff near Draya, which was really fun.

Win Effects: If the Undead win, they built a totem at the top of the highest cliff on the small peninsula.

The next battle will be "FIELD BATTLE OF LUCRE" no matter what, so the winner of this battle will get some kind of buff in that battle.

Gameplay: Both sides start on boats in the ocean in Lilith Bay, and have to stay either in the ocean or *very* close to the coast. Limited/Equal gear only, one life per player.

Sidenote- this battle will probably be chaos, but honestly I think it could be fun. The chaos makes it better imo. And it has been requested by some.

Goal/Reasoning: With the Everlife having won the siege of Draya, they also secure the southern half of the Fifth Reign. To push into the Undead Legions, they would have to pass through 4 heavily fortified cities and engage in 4 long and arduous sieges- That alone would likely give the Undead the souls they need to begin the convergence. So instead, they decide to go with a less costly option- They go to the seas of Lilith Bay in order to prove their naval superiority over the Undead. If they succeed in this task, they will have free reign to attack the Undead directly, bypassing their fortified strongholds and chokepoints.

Win Effects: If the undead win, progress to "NAVAL INVASION OF HARMONICA." If the living win, progress to "NAVAL INVASION OF LUNARIAK."

Harmonica is large and its fortress is well-defended, giving it plenty of souls to harvest. It is also quite close to Noorsalikh City, the destruction of which is their main task in order to complete their objective.

Gameplay Reason: After a naval battle, naval superiority should be proved. Then they fight until either side is entirely dead. One life. All gear. Same as the first test battle. Fort building allowed, of course.

Goal/Reasoning:
The Undead have won an overwhelming victory against the living forces at either 3-river-point, Errinnia, or Harmonica, and the AWC has completely capitulated to the undead forces, offering unimpeded access to their roadways for faster travel across the region. [Alternative Possibility: If the living won the battle of 3-river-point, the Undead Army is greatly weakened and they fail to build a totem, however the local authorities in A.W.C. are tired of the destruction of their lands, and decide to capitulate anyway. The living know their position is disadvantageous, so they retreat eastwards towards the fields of Lucre.] Though the living army in the AWC region is decimated after months of battle, the garrison at the walled city of Noorsalikh just east of the AWC still stands. Noorsalikh is the largest and most populated city in the west, and the garrison there is a very large force- If it is taken by the Undead, they will have plenty of souls to harvest from the garrison and population of the city as they enact their final plan. But to get to it from the west, they'd have to go through a narrow pass and a well-fortified city, so instead they decide to bypass it by going Northeast first and then marching south on Noorsalikh. The weakened but still significant armies of Everlife march out to meet them from Aurum and Noorsalikh

Gameplay Reason: It's very likely that at this point all of our battles will have been in the desert/mesa, so it will be good to get a breath of fresh air in a different biome. It's also a pretty large and unimpeded battleground for forts and offensives.

Win Effects: Winning side gets some kind of buff at the Siege of Noorsalikh, not sure what exactly

No matter who wins, it progresses to "NOORSALIKH: CONVERGENCE"

Gameplay: Undead start inside the city, living start to the south/the island. The living forces must reach the meeting room of Merambat Castle and dislodge undead forces from it. One life. All gear.

Goal/Reasoning:
The Undead attempt to invade Harmonica using their navy has utterly failed. The living reunites their naval reinforcements from their far east with the captured remnants of the Undead Viking fleet at Harmonica, to create a grand invasion fleet.

The Undead armies, having been defeated at Harmonica, pose little real threat to the core territories of the AWC meaning that there would be no benefit to marching through the region directly. Everlife High Command decides to take their fleet and use it to attack Merambat. They know that if they capture the lost Errinnian Capital, they will sever the connection between Zephyr & Fifth Reign from the rest of Errinnia, establish a land border with the Errinnian Restoration Army, and open the way for an attack on the Undead capital of Falkreath.

The Undead hastily construct a Great Totem at the highest point in Falkreath- See the "Field battle of the Taiga" for the more specific RP reasons behind this decision.

Gameplay Reason: After battles in international waters and Undead offensives, it is finally time for the Everlife to counterattack the Undead forces to accomplish their ultimate goal of the drive to the north.

Gameplay: All gear is allowed. Unlimited lives, for both sides have their entire army present. For this battle, the two teams really just have fun with it in terms of actual combat.

This battle has a particular time-limit. Not 100% sure what that limit should be. The goal of the living is to completely destroy the Great Totem constructed in Falkreath (block destruction perms must be enabled for visitors in that area) and the undead must stop that from happening. If any pieces of the totem still remain when time runs out, the Undead win a "PARTIAL VICTORY." If no parts remain, the living win a "TOTAL VICTORY"

Goal/Reasoning: (this is also explained partially in the "FIELD BATTLE OF THE TAIGA") When the war began, the Undead expected a quick victory against disorganized everlife forces- But they faced a far more formidable enemy than they initially realized; Now, the Living forces were launching a counterattack on the capital of the Undead Legions. Throughout the course of the war so far, throughout both victories and losses for the Legions, the Undead have collected many souls. Enough to trigger the convergence and open a rift to welcome Nagesh into the world, and hopefully turn the tide of the war- But not enough to fully strengthen Nagesh as he enters this world, not enough to make the living realize his true strength. Regardless, summoning him now is the only choice they have to avoid total defeat and humiliation.

Despite all their efforts to slow down the living, their advance is unstoppable. The living have arrived before the rift can be fully opened to allow Nagesh through, and now the living aim to destroy it and capture Falkreath before its mission is completed.

Gameplay Reason: One of the final battles in a city with epic terrain and development. Its gonna be AWESOME lol.

Win Effects: If the living win, they progress to the "TOTAL LIVING VICTORY" event chain (Also Voleia and maybe some other warlords are cured from the undead plague thanks to the efforts of the Frosburg Project).

Gameplay: The Living start inside Noorsalikh and the Undead start outside. The Undead build a Great Totem outside Noorsalikh (on the top of the nearby cliff) and begin the process of opening a rift. There is a time limit to this battle (not sure what it should be). All gear allowed, and unlimited lives (Again, both sides have mobilized every single soldier they could muster for this battle and we really just want people to have fun with it)

The Undead have time to build a fort around their Totem.

This time, both sides have their own goals. Through the usage of spies and collaborators, the Undead have discovered the location of the Frosburg Project within Noorsalikh. They know that this project risks the complete destruction of their armies should it be successfully accomplished, for it not only cures the Undead Plague but also counters the infamous Fog of the legions. The Undead must go across the bridge within Noorsalikh City and destroy the chambers where the cure is being researched.

The Living must destroy the Undead Totem before the time runs out. It must be completely destroyed, and once destroyed, blocks cannot be replaced. Same as the Falkreath battle.

Goal/Reasoning: The Undead must summon their God, fully strengthened using the souls collected from the city. The city is the most westward populated city in Everlife. They must also destroy the cure being researched there. If they fail to do this, they will be weaker in future battles due to the lack of the Fog, which is what gives them strength.

Gameplay Reason: Another final battle, again in and around a somewhat developed city. The terrain is quite interesting and there are plenty of small bridge crossings on which to battle. I think a battle here would be quite interesting

Win Effects: If the cure is destroyed and the totem still stands, progress to "TOTAL UNDEAD VICTORY." If the totem is destroyed, progress to "PARTIAL EVERLIFE VICTORY." If both survive, progress to "PARTIAL UNDEAD VICTORY." Also, some Undead Warlords are cured in the event of a partial everlife victory.

Totems are large, tall structures that channel the energy of the souls collected around them. They must be placed at high points to collect and channel that energy.

Once created, normal Totems are incredibly powerful and almost impossible to destroy.

The Great Totem takes in energy from all the other totems, and can open a rift to allow the God of Death and his minions into our world. The more energy is has, the stronger the rift and therefore the stronger Nagesh, will be.

After denying the Undead the souils they need, they hope to defeat the Undead once and for all by winning a decisive battle in Falkria.

--

The Undead wants to collect as many souls as possible to strengthen Nagesh. The more souls they have, the stronger the rift will be.

By winning strategic battles in the AWC and placing tokens to channel the energy of the souls, they know they can collect enough souls to at least open a rift- But to truly restore Nagesh's strength, they need more souls. The AWC is a desolate wasteland, barren of souls except for the armies marching across it: The Undead aim to capture and create a totem above the first populated city in the west, Noorsalikh City.

The goals of this plan are to fix the issues with all the others.

One issue that i'm trying to fix is the lack of direct lore involvement in the battles

Another more important issue i'm trying to fix is keeping the battles more unique and variated (not just in one region or gamemode the entire war)

The most important issue by far that I'm trying to fix is making sure it stays dynamic- That tangible progress can be seen and the battles actually directly effect the course of the war, as would be seen in real life. I don't think the amount of dynamic interaction in any plan so far has been the best.

Other minor issues i'm trying to fix include improving the tactical realism for BOTH sides (trying to make both sides achieve their goals realistically) without sacrificing any other aspects.

Though this plan is dynamic, it creates exactly 5 battles that will play out in the end. This leaves room for another 3 post-victory battles. More info at bottom.

Now they must dislodge the Undead from the AWC and southern Errinnia. the ERA will launch an assault on Merambat, a field battle in Victoriae, and a field battle in the AWC.

However, since the totems were still standing after the battle, the Undead will have another chance to summon Nagesh, perhaps if they win 2/3 battles (with one of them being a convergence event in Victoriae)? But in the end, I would have written 9 additional potential battles that could happen afterwards, and I can continue to write these tomorrow.
