You got to know a new team, prepared a classroom, welcomed a new group of learners, created interesting lessons, engaged IB learners, studied student data, planned differentiated instruction, communicated with families, and had a lot of fun along the way. In preparation for the upcoming Data Chats following fall break, please complete a Data Chat Protocol (DCP) sheet for your class prior to the meeting. Come to the meeting with a completed hard copy for us to keep on file. Below is the link to your grade level BOY MASTER DOCUMENT in Teams. Be certain to generate a SECOND copy and rename it as follows: LASTNAME-22-23-BOY-DCP. Add your class information into your copy and not the MASTER document. These should be saved in your Teams' Data Points folder --> 22-23 completed teacher Data Chat Protocol folder. Carmen will share who your Economical Disadvantaged students are at that meeting.

Grades Kinder-2 --> In addition to the above, please plan to bring a device and be prepared to log in to mClass. I will be sharing some reports with you so we can review class data together and begin learning about this new platform.

As you know, we are rolling out Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for everyone at IIANT. Beginning next week, IT will be assisting you with the enrollment process where you enable your preferred secondary authentication method. We will setup a workstation dedicated for this purpose. If you want to do this part on your own, you can do it anytime by visiting this website -> Additional security verification (windowsazure.com).

Attached is a document that provides information about MFA. Presently, it is disabled by default for everyone, except for IT and 1 staff member who volunteered to have it enforced for her. As we enroll people in MFA, we will also enforce it for them. We will enforce MFA for everyone at IIANT effective on October 17. Please note that if you have not setup an MFA method by then, you will encounter authentication issues when you try to access Microsoft 365.

As your teams prepare their Parent Conference sign-ups, I thought I'd share the blurb I used to help make the expectations clear for parents. Feel free to make this your own or copy and paste.

Vision, Hearing, and Acanthosis Screenings are mandated by the Department of State Health Services and will be conducted in the library from September 27, 2022- September 30, 2022. All Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th-grade students, and any student new to Imagine, this school year will be screened. If your student wears glasses, please ensure that they are wearing them for the screening. Parents/guardians will be notified of results that require further evaluation.

We will not be screening students on Monday, September 26, 2022, so that we do not interrupt the wonderful tradition of Todos Juntos. Due to this, some 3rd grade and Kindergarten classes have been rescheduled from their normal library time and have already been contacted.

2nd and 4th grade: Only students new to Imagine in 2nd and 4th grade will be screened. The entire class will not be screened, as it is not required. All 2nd and 4th-grade classes will have their Library time in their classrooms. Mrs. LeBlanc will come to you! We will call your classroom when we are ready for the new students in 2nd and 4th grades.

KG, 1, 3, 5: Please refer to the included schedules. For most of you, screenings will occur during your normally scheduled library time, unless affected by Todos Juntos. You will walk with your class to the exit door of the library and stay with them in the hallway. You may choose to read to your class or have them read independently. We will come into the hallway and ask you for 4-5 students at a time. Please ensure that students are principled and sitting quietly in the hallway. Our goal is to screen your entire class during the scheduled time.

The clinic will be closed. Please handle all minor issues in the classroom. Please use the first aid kits that were provided to you at the beginning of the year. For true emergencies, Please contact the front desk ext: 1010, or use your walkie-talkie. We will be notified.

There will be one substitute nurse present in the clinic. Teresa Janecek, RN, is happy to fill in and looks forward to working with all of you. However, we ask that you ONLY send students that take scheduled medication, and students that have emergent situations. Please try to call extension 1100 before coming or sending your student. We understand that this won't always be the case if you are outside.

In an actual emergency once Facilities has secured the HVAC System they would begin sealing exterior doors and any compromised areas. We would stay in place as a site and monitor local directions.

Attached is the inventory list for the Hazmat Container. Please let the Facilities Team know if the inventory of your bucket is not accurate by submitting a Facilities Help ticket.
