At a young age, my parents used to have a lot of disagreements, leading to arguments and soon always leaving each other, this time frame was stressful for me and my brother and I soon found a solution that changed my life, music. I began to understand meanings behind the artists words and soon became a lifepath I followed.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme of Peace through Music by showing that in stressful times I was able to overcome my hardships by always having music alongside me and finding peace through it.

Now at the age of 12, I only was hearing music on a small player my great grandma had given me, but then I met someone who played the guitar. She ended up becoming my friend and then went into the dating stage and through that I began to understand not only the words of the music, but the feelings. I remembered the stress I had growing up from all the family and parental issues slowly fading as each time the guitar string was hit.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme by me finding another form of music and soon understanding the emotions built behind it and the feelings that come along side it when the artist created music. Without me discovering her and the guitar, my passion for music would of faded away.

Later on through my early life, she passed away. But left me behind, her guitar. I learned not only was music a way to find peace, but a way to unite others in feelings and emotions. I ended up learning the guitar after a while of countless hours and days staying up. Some people ended up hearing my new found talent and love for the guitar and ended up doing a couple songs alongside them. Since then, music has always been something I treasured ever since I was 7 years old.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme by now learning new ways to experience my love for music and using it as a way to release my stress and pain. Also finding people to relate with and soon become close friends.
