Considering the fact that stab wounds indicate personal aggression, suspect had to be close with Anna Garcia. Could be done by Erica Piedmont out of jealously due to Anna carrying Alex's baby. Blood spatter test conclude that blood originated from somewhere between the abdomen and the neck. If the abdomen is confirmed then chances are likely that Piedmont is the perpetrator.
Various Natural Causes:
-The victim had an Urinary Tract infection which could've induced a diabetic coma. The elevation in blood sugar went untreated and the victim died.
-Complications from the victim's sickle cell disease could've induced a heart attack.
