Denn mit der Digitalisierung bieten sich für uns Lehrende völlig neue, kreative Möglichkeiten, Lernsettings zu gestalten. Unter dem Schlagwort “Learners as Creators” entwickeln die Lernenden die wichtigen Kompetenzen im Sinne des 4K-Modells.
 
Das Medium Video ist für die Schülerinnen und Schüler sehr attraktiv. Dabei sind sie nicht nur passive Nutzer, sondern setzen mit dem Smartphone selbst gedrehte kleine Filmclips über verschiedene Formate und SocialMedia-Kanäle für sich ein. Die Kombination aus Musik und Bewegtbild macht ihnen offensichtlich Spaß. Dabei sind sie offensichtlich in der Lage, bestimmte Filmtechniken aus „realen Beispiel“ schnell zu adaptieren und auf eigene Produkte zu übertragen. So entstehen schnell bemerkenswerte Ergebnisse. Der Werkstolz und die Möglichkeit, sich oder ein favorisiertes Thema zu präsentieren fördern die positive Einstellung der Schülerinnen und Schüler diesem Medium gegenüber.

Mit der App iMovie können Sie die Filmbegeisterung direkt für Ihren Unterricht nutzen. Die App bietet für Einsteiger einer Art „Formatvorlage“, so wie man sie aus den Office-Programmen PowerPoint oder Word kennt. Der sprechende Titel „Trailer“ deutet schon darauf hin, dass sich dieses Format durch eine kurze Laufzeit und bestimmte Schnitttechnik auszeichnet. So erlaubt das Format “Trailer” es dem Filmemacher, kleine Stories zu entwickeln. Dafür liefert die App bereits thematisch passende Grafiken, Filmmusiken und Schnittfolgen. Die kurzen Videos sind in kürzester Zeit erstellt und wirken durchaus professionell.
 
Als Einsatz im Klassenraum bieten sich natürlich alle Unterrichtsgegenstände an, die auf einer Handlung, neudeutsch einer Story, basieren: Kurzgeschichten, Romane und Gedichte in Deutsch oder den Fremdsprachen, besondere Vorkommnisse in der Geschichte bzw. der Politik. Aber auch Biografien lassen sich darüber darstellen.
