Some people don't like teachers because the have to make decisions that the students don't like based on there scores such as in Phil's case. Mrs Narwin-  She has mixed feelings about Phillip Malloy.  She would like to cooperate with Phil more and have him do work and pay attention in class.

Mr.Malloy- he thinks Miss. This theme accures all throughout the story. An example is when the media heard about Phil being suspended, they only knew that Phil was just singing the national anthem. The media and the community judged Ms. Narwin of being a horrible teacher and Phil being a perfect student. Another example is when the school believes that Phil was just being disrespectful and Ms. Narwin was following the rules.
