One of Nathan's famous quotes is “I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country.” He occupied his position on September 16.While spying, he posed as a school master. He created a complex system to communicate without anyone else knowing what was going on. In the summer of 1780 they informed Washington of an upcoming ambush. Benjamin was truly a very smart and coordinated person. </div>]]></description>

Enoch's parents did not even know he was a spy until 1777. Many colonist believed Enoch was a traitor. 1777 was the year Enoch was presented as a hero not as a traitor.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lydia Darragh was born in Ireland in 1729 and did not move to America until she married William Darragh in 1753. One of Lydia's sons John, would smuggle letters and reports she learned by listening to other soldiers. Her son would then take them to his older brother who was a patriot soldier.  Lydia told  Washington about the December 4th attack in time for them to prepare her troops. Lydia died in 1789.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Anna was born on April 14, 1740. After marring her husband, a judge they had nine children. Her husband was taken captive by the British. She then became a part of the Culper Spy Ring and she would signal Brewster's arrival to Abraham Woodhull. To communicate, she would use signals, when she hung up a black petticoat, it meant Brewster was in town and however many white handkerchiefs she hung up stood for which of the six coves Brewster's boat was in. She died August 12, 1812.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
