This original piece “Waves”, demonstrates the look and feel of waves. When you are in the ocean and waves are around you, there is a point where you are at the top of the wave and then you go back down and it is calm for a while which is the “silence” in the poem. I used the word “sculptures” to describe the waves because every wave is a different shape and sculpture with each movement. When the reader is done reading the poem they should be able to feel the wave through themselves and to feel the movement of the wave around them.

This original piece “The Hill”, is designed to create an idea of winter and skiing or snowboarding on a hill. In the winter, my favorite thing to do is snowboarding so I wanted to create an idea of what I see when I am on the hill and my envision of the perfect winter night. The snow falling onto the ground is supposed to create an idea of the fresh coat of new snow falling onto the ground making it fluffier and “better”. The yellow lights across the hill show that the dark night darkens the hill leaving only the lights to see with the spots in between the lights only darkness.

This picture I took when I was in Sanibel, FL for spring break. This picture "Sunset" is an example of imagism because of the colors and the way it makes the viewer feel in the moment with the picture. The beautiful sunset sinking into the water reflecting off of the still water makes the viewer feel calm and relaxed. This picture is also an example of imagism because of the different colors used in the photo.

This picture "Swimming Out" was taken in the boundary waters. It was a beautiful morning and my friends and I were getting ready to go out and canoe. A snapping turtle swam up to shore and was hanging out for a while. It would go underwater and then come back up to shore. This picture is an example of imagism because of how distinctly you can see the turtle and the water around it.

The four imagism works that I have created create a calm and relaxing feeling for the reader or viewer. The poem "The Hill" is supposed to create a feeling of happiness and calming for the snow falling on the hill gently. The poem "Waves" creates the look of waves and the calming aspect of how waves curve and roll. The picture of the "Sunset" also creates a relaxing feeling and should make the viewer happy and relaxed have all of their worries taken away from them. The last picture that I took was taken in the boundary waters of a turtle swimming up the shore.
