I picked beck because I had friends listen to his albums but i never had. I found it to be both very calming and relaxing however very upbeat and something you could bob your head to in the car. 

Listening to the album in different settings and with different people changed my understanding and take on the album as a whole. 

When listening with others i found that they thought about the music differently than i did and they picked out different songs that they thought were the best on the album.  Listening straight through the album was a much different experience than hearing just the songs that i picked out that i liked. It gave the album a much different vibe listening to them out of order because i found that i only enjoyed the upbeat songs after listening to the breaks of slow songs in between them.
