I watched clips from “Talk German: Episode 1” on BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0078r6s/clips. The first clip talked about formal and informal greetings such as ‘Guten Tag’, ‘Hallo’ and ‘wie geht’s dir’. The next 2 clips talked about Munich, the third largest German city and its culture. Munich has beautiful buildings and a rich Bavarian culture. Cafes and ‘biergarten’ (beer garden) are popular places for people to hangout. It's art festival and craft markets are extremely popular attract traders from around the world. Germany is a large country in Europe, with port city of Hamburg in north, Berlin in east, vineyards in west and the Alps in the south. Lastly, it taught how to ask if someone was German: “Bist du Deutscher?”. This can be answered as “Ja, ich bin Deutscher” (Yes, I am German) or “neine, ich bin Engländer” (No, I am English).
