In places like Laikipia County and across Kenya we have seen how much stronger the budget-making process becomes when it is people centred. Young people are stepping up, leading conversations and making sure county priorities reflect the real needs of communities.

To make this easier we are also using AI and chatbots to break down complex budget documents into simple language so that more citizens can understand and take part.

This work is ongoing and it shows that when people are involved decisions are fairer more transparent and truly for the people.
