The intensity of sun low,

Snow on the horizon,

Wind howling with the abrasive action of snow crystals,

Depressing for some,

An uplifting for others,

Dangerous conditions, 

Some hated,

Some loved,

The winter is of great power.

The thaw before the heat,

The rebirth of nature,

Birds singing,

Rain entering in place of the snow,

Mud is deep,

Spirits high,

Plants regrowing to reveal new life,

The spring is of great beauty but much mud.

The temperature sizzling with summer,

The ac on high,

School is out, 

Family trips in high demand,

Heat oppressive,

The growing season,

The summer is hot hot hot.

The calm before the storm is that of fall,

The leaves change color,

Plants get the last nutrients available,

Sunlight starts to fade,

Temperatures fall,

Followed by the leaves,

Warning to get ready for winter again,

The season of color is that of fall.
