Standard:(S1.C1.PO3.) Use primary source materials (e.g. photos, artifacts, interviews, documents, maps) and secondary source materials (e.g.. encyclopedias, biographies) to study people and events from the past.

Technology Standard

Standard:(S3.C2.PO4.) Organize information into major topics and create a list of ideas.

The features tab contains a collection of different resources for teachers. These can be used as lesson plans, allow for lesson plan connection and provide activities along with extra resources.

You can search by Type, Subject Area or Title
You can also simply browse by alphabetical order.

To find lesson plans, just go to the tab that says "Lesson Plans"

You can browse by content area (though not all lessons have a Social Studies tie-in, this gives you the opportunity to teach across the disciplines)

You can search by the topic about which you want to teach (Statue of Liberty, Civil War, George Washington, etc.)

You can search by state standards (either by keyword within a standard, or by the standard itself)

The calendar section has information about what happened in history each day, and provides a lesson plans specific to that event.
