The book has a main character that is named Conor and his mom gets sick and Conor has to go live with his grandma. Before his mom got sick he slept in his bed. And he is awaken to a talking yew tree. The tree takes him out of the house and tells him story’s about the old days. After that, he goes to school and gets bullied and Conor is the only one that can see the tree. The bully pours orange juice on his book. Conor gets mad so the tree encourages him to fight the bully so Conor gets enraged and punches the bully and the tree is turning in to a flaming tree because he is mad too.
