I think he was a tyrant because while dealing with his wives

he showed his true personality. While trying to have a son, Henry VIII

showed his disregard for his daughters. He would try to divorce the

mother, and even beheaded 2 of them.

After reading and learning about Henry VIII, I think it is fair to say he was tyrant. First reason being he did whatever he could to get lawful sons. This meant marrying as many as sixth wives. The death of his wives also didn't matter to Henry. To add, he wanted to keep his power so he even did "background checks" on his wives! He had some like Anne Boleyn beheaded too. He tried to enforce his power as much as he could. He created his own religion because he wanted to divorce.

In a sense ofmgovernment issues, no. He didnt seem to rule England with an iron fist. He had men who advised him, and told him what the right courses of actions would be. He didnt rule england for his own interests. His biggest personal worry was having a proper heir for the throne, an heir his six wives failed to give him ....

I think he was a tyrant.No matter whether he has son or not,needing a son is not a reason for divorcing his wives and beheaded two of them.He is a father,he should to be responsible for his two daughters.If divorcing the first queen is because he has only one daughter,and no matter whether she marries or not,England would be unstable,there's no reason for him to divorce his second wife,because he has two daughters now.Even if both of them didn't get married,because his second wife is English,he don' t need to worry about England falling into the French's hands.Also,he divorced his fourth wife because she is ugly.Then,I believe this means needing a son is not the only reason for divorcing, playing around with women is also a reason,since he already had a son.And,almost all wives of him are maids of his previous wife.He only have six wives,but may be he also plays around with other woman,which is not loyal to his wives.He even created his own religion just for having more power in his hand instead of in the Pope's.In China,we believe families make up countries,so,even if he made the foundation of modern state,he is still a tyrant because of family issues.
