If you couldn't find out the cat you'd better call your friend then, ask her about the place where she always take her cat to, say sorry to her and don't forget to promise that you will keep on finding her cat untill she came home. I think, she might be angry alot but she will forgive you in case you couldn't bring her cat back. It's the best way for you now. Do not hide your friend about her cat, because It seem like you don't respect her.

If you couldn't find the cat you'd better call your friend and then ask her about the place where she always takes  her cat to. You should  say sorry to her and don't forget to promise that you will keep finding her cat until she comes home. I think, she might be angry a lot but she will forgive you in case you couldn't bring her cat back. It's the best way for you now. Do not hide your friend about the disappearance of her cat, because it is important to show her that you are an honest person.
