Picture book poem starts with a very mysterious/creepy verse and then is followed by “life doesn’t frighten me at all”. Throughout the book, the author keeps on saying certain scenarios and just states how thing do not frighten her. The poem talks about having a little charm and smiling at what frightens you. It is a very motivating book. This book would be interesting to kids who like monsters, or scary stuff. This book could be used to motivate students to not be afraid and smile at what is to come even if it seems scary. personally feel like this book is great for all age groups.

The book is about the morning routine of a kid and his dog. Their routine is a little out of the norm, the child wakes up before the sunrise to get the newspapers ready and then with the company of his dog go out to deliver them. I loved how the book has details of what the sky looks as it is turning day and how that time is the dogs and child favorite moment. It’s cute to see the connection of the dog with the kid in the story. I could use this book to show the children how what may seem like such a terrible activity can be seen with such positive eyes.

This particular cow goes on its usual Saturday morning walk which results in a very interesting and unusual journey. The cow ends up having many adventures, in which the cow looks unaware. this book might interest children who like humor, or adventure. This book can be used to show how sometimes throws random adventures our way.

Do princesses wear hiking boots? from just the title of the book, you can imagine what the message will be. This book is AWESOME, I loved it, it shows girls that "Princesses" can be girls who play outside and climb trees, play in puddles etc. This book can be read to both girls and boys to show how stereotypes, for example, being a "princess" can be broken and at the end what makes someone happy is the most important thing. Being a princess is in the heart. I think any Girl would like this book. Enrico is a brilliant little cat at home, who can ride his bike, make magnificent sardine in lobster-jelly sandwich, catch his wind-up mouse. Enrico then has to start school, nervous from the different environment Enrico first struggles with fitting in and making new friends. Trying to fit in he tries to impress the school kids and get their attention. That plan goes wrong and he is back to where he started. Enrico decides that he will be himself instead of trying to gain the children's friendship, which ends up working better than his first attempt. This book is great for children starting school, it gives them an example of why to be authentically themselves. (k-2)

This book is about a Duckling that has manners, he politely asks for a cookie, and then receives it. A rude pigeon comes into the story, talking about how he/she always asks for things and never gets it. The Duckling then gives the pigeon the cookie, although the pigeon never said please and the pigeon is surprise. This book Is great, in my opinion, for all grade levels. Swimmy is a small little black fish who lives somewhere in the sea. Swimmy lives surrounded by other small fishes, but unlike him the rest are red. One day a HUGE fish comes along and eats all the little red fishes, leaving little Swimmy all alone. Scared for his life, Swimmy, swims and swims and swims. He
swims through a lot of other sea animals, sea animals he has never seen before and enjoys the trip. He then finds more little fishes and tells them how they too, must swim outside their borders to play and SEE things. He plans a way for him and the other small fishes to go out into the ocean. This book, in my opinion is k-12 and even should be read after high school, It really is a great story. Numbers start climbing a tree, slowly adding 1 to each number that is part of a cute rhyming story. The story is about numbers adding to a tree, while number zero wonders if there will be enough space for him. This book would be great for children who love rhymes, also children who love counting. It is a great review for math, while reading a story! the audience for this book would be k-1. Actual Size is a great non-fiction book about all these different types of animals and well, their actual size, talks about a butterfly that is mistaken as a bird, and a dwarf fish that is so tiny its only 1/3 of an inch long! It talks about the largest birds, and about great white shark with teeth that are 4 inches long.This book reading grade level is 1-4. Children who are intrigued by animals of all sorts would love this book, especially if they look weird unknown facts. Great non-fiction book that explains why dinosaurs are gone. very cute way to help kids understand that dinosaurs died a long time ago, and how their bones have been found all over the world. also helps children understand what kind of dinosaurs there used to be. Show the differences in the ones that would eat meat and how they had certain teeth. It great to just show levels of the earth, the core and so on, and how this earth is so old, that before we were here dinosaurs ruled the land. Age for this book is 2-8

I would read this book together with a classroom in a science course. An awesome easy to read biography of the life of Dr. Martin Luther king, jr. It Talks about how Dr. martin grew up in a segregated south, surrounded by "white only", signs. through the book the readers get evidence and history on how segregation became illegal through what happened with Rosa Parks, that initiated peaceful protest from the African American community. This book is a great book to read when teaching history, especially crucial history like Dr. Martin and his great impact in the whole world, being Nobel peace prize. definitely a book to read to all ages, especially on his holiday.

I consider myself a beach fanatic, I love all things that have to do with the ocean, even nasty hair after being in the water. In a classroom you will have both students that might vacation at the beach and students who have never been to the beach. This is a great book to bring to live moments lived at the beach, by including great detail of the animals and plants that are located at a tide pool. It makes you feel as if you were located at a tide pool, It talks about sea stars, and mussels, hermit crabs and way more. This book gives you lots of details on the several ways animals eat fishes, how many animals reproduce by laying eggs, the different used of a leaf and finally the many ways animals can catch a fly. It is filled with facts about animals and the way they do these things, while including awesome drawings of the animal in action. This book I would say would fit in higher grades, 3rd 4th or 5th. It would work great when explaining about reproduction, like while teaching science. Time to Sleep is a interesting picture book about animals sleep. It has great variety of animals and their sleeping patterns. Inside the book you can find facts about how so many animal sleep, and the length of their sleep. I truly enjoyed reading the book since it is interesting how all these animals have either super short sleeping routines, or sleep for days or month while in hibernation. My favorite page on the book talked about a fish that literally produces a mucous cocoon each night that protects the fish from being eating, since it conceals the fishes scent. I think children of all ages would love this book, weather they can read it, or you read it to them.

Little bear is a great chapter books to students who are new readers! It is a level J. The book itself has four chapters, which are four different stories. The first story talks about the little bear being outside in the snow and how the mother bear gives him clothes to add on to his body to prevent the cold. Second story is about the little bears birthday, he believes that his mother forgot about his birthday and would end up without a cake. Little bear is surprised by mother bear with a great cake for his birthday and the little bear is so happy his mother didn't miss his birthday. The remaining two stories both have the same concept about little bear needing mama bear and mama bear always being there. This book is a good way of making students just feel comfortable, giving a sense of protection. Reading grade level J.

Sisters and Brothers is a book about just what Its title says. It is an informational picture book about animals and their siblings. For example, how some animals only have sisters now brothers but are also identical to every sister they have aside from being identical all their female ancestors, like the Whiptail lizards. This book is great, I come from a huge family so comparing myself to the book and how some animals have billions of babies while other only have one brother like the bear cubs was exciting while I read the book. This first chapter book for advanced beginners, is such a cute book. It talks about Amelia Bedelia which is the main character, and how she somehow got in charge of a classroom, where the notes for her teaching were not very clear which led to a lot of chaos in the classroom. Lots of silly things were done while Amelia was in charge, which the children loved. This book a a great book to read maybe before having a substitute to have the children know that they too can help with the order in a classroom even while the teacher is not present. This book is about a boy, who grew up as a slave, it starts very interesting stating that the little boy did not even know his age, since slave were not allowed to know. It then talks about the life of henry, how he thought he would be set free by his master, but did not. It goes on to talk about his wife and how he had kids, who end up being sold at the slave market. its interesting how it is written makes you feel the feeling henry felt, I also love the history this book helps show from the insiders view. This book can be used in history, to talk about the underground railroads.

This book is the neatest book I have read yet, it not only helps readers interact with the words but also has hidden images in the images. For example while reading about the statue of liberty, when you let light shine through you are then able to see stair case of people walking up the statue of liberty. This book is about Junie B. Jones starting first grade, it starts with junie talking about how her teacher asks that the fist grader keep a journal where Junie B. writes about her stories in school. I think it is a very relatable book, for first graders, has lots of kid drama, like Junie b. friend replacing her with twins, with also her bus buddy not being her bus buddy anymore. The drama just leaves her feeling all alone, until she makes another friend named "herb". This book, is awesome for the kids that want motivation that you will always make friend. Aside from writing about life, and its disappointments it talks about how it will always have its good sides. It also written very comical, I caught myself laughing at the writing and how Junie. B taught.

This book is such an adventures book. It’s the magic tree house, which consist of two kids a boy and a girl. Annie the girl is very hard core, not scared of anything but, Jack the boy is very scare of everything, through the book near the ending these characters’ switch, Annie becoming scared and Jack being intrigued by the mummy. This book is awesome to teach about Africa as a continent and then Egypt as the country, about the weather there and the pyramids since in this book it gives details about these things. Also has lessons on being helpful, since they try to help the queen of Nile, find her way to the next life. Reading level for this book is M.

She gets super upset and wishes that Felicia (who got the main role), gets sick so that she can be the lead. This happens and Baby mouse ends up having to play (petunia) the main role. She fails at know the stage direction which results in her hurting herself. This Graphic novel is the sweetest story I have read. I love how it is so full of action, a girl stuff animal named planet walks out of her room while she sleeps. Planet, then is chased by a puppy which results in them sharing cookies. This is followed by them meeting a mouse, named Bradley. Bradley is so friendly and tells them about the biggest cookie he has seen (the moon). They try to grab the cookie, fail, and return to eat cookies from the kitchen. This book is great for students and shows them what sharing and friendship is. The reading grade level is 1-2 grade. I loved how Philemon was not scared to go into the well when he saw two notes in bottles come up from the well. He then goes into it which turns into a crazy unbelievable adventure. The book is written in a very clever way, having you read two stories of two different people from two different times. It is an eye-opener on the world and how blessed we are to have what we have in America. The story is about a refugee that got adopted from a family in NewYork, of course you find this out at the end of the story. They main story reflects the battles between to tribes in southern Sudan. On top of the the war between the Government and the rebels. Going along with one story another story talk about the walk for water that people make in order to survive. The book made me tear up, it was both funny but truly aimed to get to your emotions. While reading it I related it to my experiences with teachers, remembering forever the "good ones", how they thought and how they made me feel. The book is about three boys, who in sixth grade find out their current teacher who happens to have pink streaks of hair, has cancer and will leave with only a month of school left. The boys remembering the teachers perfect last day. Skip class and undergo a wild adventure to be able to provide their teacher with her perfect day. They book is heart warming and super real in todays society here in the United States. It has lots of clever points for teaching, since one student is basically a genius so the book incorporates lots of teaching points. This graphic novel was a really creative novel to read. I found myself enjoying reading as i looked at the pictures to fully understand the story. The novel is about a Cat that is a space cat but in the book the cat was not really doing the missions as he should have, so his boss goes into disguise as a foster cat to observe his space cat abilities, in helping combat aliens (flies). I think this book can be used for teaching students hard work and having a good work ethic, responsibilities. Star Girl would be such an amazing book to read in a classroom. It would have to be an older group, since it has a lot of deep meaning within it. You can use it to teach acceptance and uniqueness. This is great for teaching cause and effect as well, within the book. The book was a great read. Its about a girl who was homeschooled and is very creative, she is sort of a Hippie. She changes her name when her current one doesn't suit her anymore. Finally she also has a pet rat! The story is told by a character who ends up dating star girl, but doubt sets on him when he notices how others are not reacting in a positive form towards Star Girl. He even makes Star Girl become self caution and she begins to change who she is for her boyfriend. This book is about a boy named Luke. It all begins with a visit to the park, although Luke's dad is at the park with him, he is still unsupervised. Luke then see's a pigeon. This is when the adventure begins, he chases the pigeon all over the city. Up the stair of a building and when he almost reaches the pigeon, Luke falls asleep. Luke is retrieved and returned to the dad who will then take more cautions on where his son is at. This book was really cute. It included a lot of onomatopoeia.
