Thank you for keeping me up to date with the good tea and making up for my lack of internet stalking skills. It's always fun reminiscing about people who didn't do puberty right and people we highkey bullied. We need to go grocery shopping together one day so we can both spend all our money and just enable each others' food addictions. Adele, you're so smart and friendly! That is honestly the ultimate combo and you rock at it 😁. I have admired your time management skills for the three years I've known you, I remember I'd be working on some French or IB thing in the CLC and you'd be way ahead (but you're so humble and don't say it), and I'd always wonder how on Earth you do it. Adele, or as Kiersten called you in gr.7 math: “Delly(?)”… hihi I know you hate that, that’s why I included it :P. Thank you for approaching me on that bleacher in gr.7 during games…. Ah, that was the moment we knew we were destined to become the greatest squash players. Adele, you’re one of the humblest and most hardworking people I’ve met (I know that sounds kind of generic, but trust me on this one, I really do mean it). From a computer scientist to a figure skater, this girl does it all!!! Coach Boyd would be real proud right now :))). AND also, thank you for having an excellenttttttt sense of humor!! Always, always a good time :p
My biggest regret in our friendship is not doing that Yokai Yokai dance during grade 8 (I sincerely apologize). If I’m referencing a lot of memories from junior school, it’s because it’s allll coming back to meeee. Let’s be honest junior school was harder than senior school. OH, also, I realized that we are the only 2 junior schoolers girls who did full IB, so I mean, we are pretty special… Ok, I think I’ve really milked the junior school part now. Off to senior school! Drama, French, English, and math :o (lmk if I’m missing smt). Thank you for always being super chill!! Even when we didn’t talk to each other for a while, I always felt comfortable talking to you, because as Hunter would say, “you’re the g”. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll see you at those Ashbury alumni meets because, let’s be honest, neither of us would attend that :D OH, wait, I remember watching OPM in the girls locker room in grade 8 OR THAT bus ride back from Quebec city!!! That was a peak moment in our lives, I think, but I know there will be many other peaks in your life because of your determination as a former a-house member (hihihi jjkjk). What I’m trying to say here is that I won’t be surprised if I see your name in the New York Times for something you’ve created/invented/won cause you’re that cool!! Don’t forget me when you’re filthy rich due to immense intelligence !!!

Adele: I’ve known you for a long time and you’ve always been reliable. Under that focused, rhinestone-loving person is someone with an excellent moral compass who doesn’t dole out trust easily. You told me once that you wouldn’t miss Ashbury at all, but I’m not sure that’s true... ;) I know you’re going to go places, and I look forward to seeing what you’ll be doing in the future! We became friends since grade 10 gym class, and honestly that was the best class that year. Adele, you are honestly such an amazing person and friend!! I’m so glad that we met at UChicago and have stayed in touch since then. You are so incredibly smart and kind, and I love always seeing your snap and insta posts (they are so relatable they always make me laugh). I miss you and all our camp memories so so so much: coloring in your socks, spending time in the library, going downtown for your birthday, singing disney songs, and of course, CANOVA!!!! I really hope we can stay friends and hopefully visit each other soon!

My little we're-both-never-growing chicken finger, I can't have imagined the last six years without you. It's weird to think I've known you for so long, and all the memories we have will take too much of this space, but I will be reminiscing.
I think a highlight MUST be our grade eight history project... which will remain without detail since I think we might have been a little offside but it was an absolute time. 100% in it for the win, and we had STRATEGY to get there. I still have so many videos of us from grade eight in Quebec, when we were goofing around in the bus (and you showed me attack on titan), to when we when on that toboggan outside the hotel and for some reason absolutely demolished everyone even though we were the tiniest people. Also our screaming remains unbeaten.
You've made so many classes bearable, from Mr. Brigg's French class (or every French class), to drama and science with coach Boyd. Also we can't forget Mr. Pottinger, who never gave us back our 1812 project. Even though you're one of the smartest people I've ever met (and ever will meet), you never made me feel scared, and shared allllll my fears about transportation in plants. You're honestly such an amazing person to be around, you're so funny and ruthless in the best way, so encouraging and always supportive even when I didn't feel like I deserved it. I know you would always have my back even if it was about something stupid, like arguing with the boys in our form. You've been such a light in these past years, and always made me smile even on the rougher days. Also, my mom literally adores you.
I'm so excited for everything you're going to do in the future, basically making BANK and kicking ass and taking names. I hope you know I'm dragging you out to more Marvel movies - Civil War style - and am visiting you when you have spare time in between taking over the world (our world domination plan is coming to fruition). I'm so excited to read about you in the news, and then send you the article to brag about how awesome you are.
I'd say I'll miss you - which I will - but no chance in hell you're leaving my life, so I'll say instead I'll be sending you 10000 messages every day <3

Adeleeee! As we often talked about, I still don’t know how we became such close friends without being in any single class or club. Maybe this is what the word 缘分 means. You have been my best friend, best walking buddy and best studying partner in the past two years. Idk if my wording is appropriate but you definitely illuminated my high school life! I will miss you, Shifu, and your mom’s food tons in summer. I will bring gifts to you after I get back and we have to spend next Christmas together! Hey Adele, I am really bad at writing this type of thing, but I will try my best. Crazy that high school is over already. Somehow it feels it was not so long ago we were on the floor of Coach Boyd's grade 8 math class. I will cherish so many great memories from hanging out in robotic and the CLC, and the few movie nights we did. We had so much fun through school, and I'm sure you will do great at school. It's shame that we didn't get a chance to spend more time together in Physics this year, that one class when we had the last test of the year was fun. Salutations Adele! I have never met a more friendly person in my life. It’s kinda ridiculous to say but it’s been four years since we’ve met having similar classes. But really all my best memories of you were outside of those. Absolute zero (nothing cooler!) was such a *chill* experience, vibing in robotics to none other than the frozen 2 soundtrack, tightening the same screws for the millionth time and eating copious amounts of jujubes? I still don’t know how to spell it. I’m going to miss our afternoons in the CLC as part of the late squad and the comradery that comes with being a Computer science survivor or in your case, thriver. I send all my best to you Adele because you’re an amazing person and I hope the world sees that too as you go forward. Best of luck at Waterloo, I know you’ll be a proud representative of the Ashbury advantage :P

I have no idea how to start this paragraph. You know I wanted to write the longest message but Jamie and Gal a wrote entire essays... So I am going to write whatever comes to mind and, hopefully, it is not complete garbage😂

First of all, thank you for everything Adele. This year has been weird because of the pandemic and I haven't seen you in person as much as I would have liked to....butttttt I always knew that if I had a question about physics, history or life, I could just send you a message and you would reply instantly.

Adele, I don't know how you do it, but you are always smiling. Hiihihih I remember this one time in physics class when they gave us a test back and we both did sort of bad. And you were like "I am really angry". So I look up to my screen and see you smiling. Hahahha what I meant to say is that you just have this positive aura around you and I love it :)Your energy is super infectious.... In fact, although it is weird for me to admit this, I have started speaking and texting like you. For example, now whenever I want to congratulate someone or when I am happy, I do your "yayyyy" thing. Hihiihih this is the effect you have on people Adele, you just make us become better people.

In all honesty, I miss talking to you in person. I mean we still text each other, but I am awful at texting :( I don't know, there are so many things that remind me of you and I just miss your energy. Like the other day I was in the gym (I hate it so so so so much) and your favourite Killers' song started playing ("When you were young"). And my brain just went like "awwww I miss seeing Adele".

Wowoow re-reading over this, this is depressing. Soooo let's give this thing a proper conclusion and, hopefully, this thing is better than AoT's ending (sorry, not sorry)

In conclusion (hahah I know Ms. Novick hates whenever we say "in conclusion"), I wish you the very best Adele. I know you are going to do great things at Waterloo and, if you don't make great things, at least you will make tons of money. I also know that you are going to find your sugar daddy one day.

Buttt most importantly, I know our band is going to be great. We are going to release one hit album after another. And, not going to lie, I feel you are the only person who truly understands the raw power of a concept album about the life cycle of a cow.

Anywayssss, Adele, be happy, enjoy Waterloo and watch a lot of anime!!!
