Trade:
The Hopewell had a large trade network that stretched from the Atlantic to the Rocky Mountains and from The Great Lakes to Florida.



Technology:
They made huge houses that the Spanish called pueblos.
In coastal regions farmers made tools with shells. 
In deserts, they used irragation.
People in the northwest coast used wood for houses, boats, and for carving





Religion:
Some native Americans believe that their ancestors came from gods. Others believed that they came from mother nature.

The mound builders made the mounds for burial tombs, as a tribute to their gods, or for another religious purpose. 

Native Americans believed that certain places were sacred and tht animals, plants, and natural forces had spiritual importance.


Art:
They did wood carving. 

They used images called petroglyphs to communicate.

Religion:
The Roman Catholic Church gained a lot of power in the 800s through 1000s.
Church leaders were corrupt.

There were many famous paintings painted in the Renaissance.

One theory is that people walked across a land bridge and another theory is that they came from South America using thousands of routes. Such as using boats from island to island.
