         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Trade:<br>The Hopewell had a large trade network that stretched from the Atlantic to the Rocky Mountains and from The Great Lakes to Florida.<br><br><br><br>Technology:<br>They made huge houses that the Spanish called pueblos.<br>In coastal regions farmers made tools with shells. <br>In deserts, they used irragation.<br>People in the northwest coast used wood for houses, boats, and for carving<br><br><br><br><br><br>Religion:<br>Some native Americans believe that their ancestors came from gods. Others believed that they came from mother nature.<br><br>The mound builders made the mounds for burial tombs, as a tribute to their gods, or for another religious purpose. <br><br>Native Americans believed that certain places were sacred and tht animals, plants, and natural forces had spiritual importance.<br><br><br>Art:<br>They did wood carving. <br><br>They used images called petroglyphs to communicate. <br>They made sculptures.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Trade:<br>Old towns had requested foreign goods, which spurred trade.&nbsp;<br>Italy was Thriving in trade and became the birthplace of the Renaissance.<br><br><br><br>Technology:<br>Lords made huge castles where people could go in times of danger.<br>There were many inventions in the renissance.&nbsp;<br>A very umportant invention was the printing press.<br>They had ships that could make long voyages.<br><br><br><br>Religion:<br>The Roman Catholic Church gained a lot of power in the 800s through 1000s.<br>Church leaders were corrupt.&nbsp;<br><br><br>Art<br>There were many famous paintings painted in the Renaissance.&nbsp;<br>A very popular painting is named the Mona Lisa and the school of Athens.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. One theory is that people walked across a land bridge and another theory is that they came from South America using thousands of routes. Such as using boats from island to island.<br><br>2. The mound builders made the mounds for burial tombs, as a tribute to their gods, or for another religious purpose.&nbsp;<br><br>3. There were two things that made the Aztecs a strong empire. One was they drained swamps and made an irrigation system. Second, the Aztecs were warlike people who conquered most of their neighbors.<br><br>4. The league became a thing when the: Cayuga, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, and Seneca had an alliance.&nbsp;<br><br>5. They all grew rich because of trade.<br><br>6. I think that Islam became very influential and I think that it didn't. It did because of Mansa Musa and it didn't because of all of the people that practice traditional African religion.<br><br>7. In the manor system lords divided their lands into manors, or large estates, that were farmed mostly by serfs.<br><br>8. During the crusades, the Italians supplied the ships that carried the crusades to the Middle East and on the return trips the ships brought goods from Asia.<br><br>9. Other countries wanted to trade with Asis, so they wanted a trade route with them.<br><br>10. He Miscalculated the distance because he was unaware that North America existed. SO when he got there he thought he was in India.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
