- I like when they each talk they stand.
- I like how Evie is very clear with what she wants for the kids education.
- I like how Annika was very clear about boarding school with a good education.
- The group does a very nice job when they are using their sources when explaining a fact.
- I like how the group is showing eye contact with there group members.
- Lexi uses a lot of facts from her articles to get to her point.
- I like how the group members go back to the point that they are making.
- Jasmine does a very nice job making eye contact while speaking.
- They all have an argument that relates to their side of the criteria of which school should their 6th grader should go to.
- I like how Fernada moved around the room so she everyone in the room.
- Fernada does a really nice job with speaking at a good level and make a lot of eye contact.
- I like that Fernada goes back to her facts to prove her point.

Evie is speaking with good volume. I do not understand why the step parents are involved in choosing the child's school, though. In my opinion, it makes more sense to have only the mother and father choose what their child's education should be like. Annika is lacking eye contact. I do not like the symposium format. I think a back and forth discussion is much more effective in decision making and communication. Lexi has good information to support her opinion. A few of them suggested shadowing, that may be a good option before actually choosing a school. Jasmin has a very good speaking voice; it does not sound like she is reading. She also is using some gestures which makes her seem more confident in her opinion when combined with her strong speaking voice and tone variety. I think that homeschooling should be ruled out for sure, as Fernanda wants to socialize and meet new people. Fernanda does not sound like she is reading, she has a confident speaking voice.

- I like that Evie addressed everyone's ideas while presenting her ideas
- They describe their solutions solutions clearly
- They present their quotes well
- They all present their criteria in the beginning
- They need to have more eye contact with the group and less with us
- I liked that Lexi wanted the child to have input and cared about how she felt
- Everyone did a good job addressing their criteria and others criteria

-I like how Evie is stating her opinion on all the suggested education types.
-Annika is doing a good job with her articles when backing up her opinion on why the child should go to boarding school.
-All are using good eye contact when speaking.
-Lexi is doing good when she explains the negatives of her preferred choice. She is open to other options and not just the one she chose.
-Jasmin is using good sources and when she's fighting for her opinion, she is using numbers and percents in her information.
-Fernanda is giving many sources to back up her opinion because she's the one attending the school.

When each person talks they stand up which I think is a smart idea. They also have very good eye contact when they speak. I also Like how Evie is clear on what she wants for her child that she thinks would be best. I like how Annika has statistics in her decision to solidify her point of view a little more, it provides more of a reliable argument on her part. Although it seems a little choppy, she is using her reading voice not her speaking voice. I think it would be a good idea if they did not read directly off of the paper and paraphrase what they are saying a little more. Lexi has good supporting details for her point of view, it seems a little more natural and smooth, could use less fillers like "um". Jasmine has a good speaking voice as well as good eye contact, she has her opinions backed up by evidence and also rebuttals other opinions in a respective matter making her point even more valid and strong. Fernanda has her valid points as well as speaking her opinion on what she wants rather than the parents deciding for her, she keeps cost in mind and has everyone's beliefs in mind but still wants to go her own route.

They are using excellent eye contact while someone is speaking.
- could use less fillers when moving onto new parts of the six steps.
- Evie was very clear on her standards on where she wants her child to go and, also considers other places then just sticking to one side of the subject
-Refers to the articles they have found during their research on enrolling their child in school
- Explains how one school can prepare a child on the path of going off to college instead of becoming homesick, i like this analogy
- I like that Lexi explains how students can get more one on one time from teachers to understand the subject better than before
-less of a reading voice more of a conversational voice tone
- Jasmine has more of notes about why her child should be home school verses having a speech about arguing against other schooling options
- All use a good volume when speaking
-Could use more sources with the other side on certain schools
Fernanda- Try to use less "ums" when trying to move on to another point

-Effective process of going through the six steps is shown well
-I'm not noticing as much eye contact with audience...is that important for the symposium style?
-Facts well supported through studies
-So far 4/4 in wanting the best possible education for the daughter
-It may weigh on my decision how wealthy their family is considering all these options have vastly different costs
-I'm noticing that all the parents have their child's wishes at mind, so I think if the group selects the idea proposed by Fernanda, they will be the most satisfied.

Annika has very good information to support her criteria. Awesome in mentioning alternatives.
Lexi is very confident with her criteria. Flexible with her ideas.
Jasmin seems flexible and is looking for the family's best interest.

Evie-I heard a lot of talking but not many facts stating something like numbers and percents. I really liked how they put all there options out there. Annika- I really like how you used facts and a percent in there, Maybe to be a little less monotone when speaking. Lexi- I like how you have your advice for every piece or criteria , maybe just a few to many quotes. Jasmine-I like how you broke down the 4 different way to educate your child, one thing is that I didn't hear any good quotes about how home school is better than the rest of the three. Fernanda- I like how you tell everyone what you want and what you think is best, I think you got a little sidetracked.

She would like many opportunists for her to grow. I feel that this is very important for all children because many students who are not involved get involved into things that they shouldn't. She also believes that it is important for her child to be happy at their school no matter where the child goes. I like that she would support where they would want to go so that she has the freedom that she wants and can express herself in a variety of different ways.

I like that she did not only include what is going on now for the child but also for the future. What will be best for her in the future. She backs up here claim with many points which helps me and the others to decided what would be best for the child. She believes that boarding school will be beneficial in the long run for the child.

she wants her child to be able to be close to home so that the child has the opportunity to come home and feel safe. Public school can be close to home but restrict opportunities. Private school helps the student grow and expand but also can affect the child because they limate the personal growth of the child.

I think that Frenada is right on when she says that she wants to be in a place that is comfortable there. I think that she is right when she says that the public school would be the best for her. The thing is it is not just up to her it is also up to the decision of her parents. She has so many options but what is best for her. In the end I think it will depend on cost and overall best educational system.
