Online learning is different because you lack that immediate chance to correct any misunderstanding. It is much harder to clarify through written words. When F2F you can monitor the students facial movements and monitor where you actually lose them.

The teacher cannot monitor the students as closely, like phone usage ect. It also may be harder, unless the student has a microphone, to articulate what they don't understand.

With online learning, teachers cannot see if the students are actually paying attention. Also, students have more ways to get distracted when they are not in a traditional classroom setting.

They have a much faster turn around system, they do the work and expect it back asap, I feel like in a traditional class the teacher has 'less pressure' to return work

Students don't interact with each other as much

Online learning is different because you are not interacting face to face with your students. I think F2F would be easier to monitor. The teachers teaching online have to interact differently .

If teachers are working as hard as she appeared to be, they are interacting with students through online devices continually and then tracking all kinds of data.

Teaching in a classroom you can see if the students are paying attention or doing other things and in an online class you cannot

Online learning seems like it would be more work because you have to closely monitor your students progress and be very prompt about grading and getting back to students. However, it would be more laid back because you could pretty much teach in your pajamas.
