"They are screaming, suffering, shivering"(line 2)- Alliteration.
This line is an example of alliteration, since it is a repetition of consonant sounds in the poem. It was used to make the poem sound better.

"... the noise is invading my ears" (line 4)- Personification
A personification is when a nonhuman subject is given a human characteristic. In this case, the personification is given to the noise, because it does not actually "invade."

"I feel rain coming out of my eyes"(line 7)- Metaphor
The metaphor is used to describe something as it was something else. This metaphor represent the tears that are coming from the narrator's eyes and it is used to show the reader that this person's tears are abundant. It also makes the poem sound more emotional and prettier.

"... like the rainbow appears when the storm becomes weak, my happiness will come when all the bad moments in the past I'll leave" (lines 12-13)- Simile and symbol
The simile is the comparison between two unlike things. In this example, the storm and the rainbow that comes after it are being compared with the bad moments of life and the happiness that will arrive. This means that after all the bad things that happen to someone, there will be always something to smile and be happy for. In addition, since a symbol is something that represents something else, the rainbow is a symbol for happiness.

"... every night has it's day, so magical' (line 1)- Metaphor and symbol.
In this line in particular, the audience notice a contrast between two things, dark and light. It is a metaphor because the song starts talking about the beautiful that everything can be and the line communicates how magical it is that after there's darkness, the light will always come. The symbols in those words are in darkness, which refers to bad moments in life, and light, which represents happiness.

"... if there's love in this live, there's no obstacle" (line 3)- Hyperbole.
A hyperbole is a exaggeration. Line 3 is an exaggeration because it is obvious that life will always have obstacles. But it is clear that the purpose of this line is to say that love is important in everybody's life. It makes yo stronger.

"Monday left me broken" (line 9)- Personification.
Considering that a week day can not break something, this line is an example of a personification.

"I'm burning like fire gone wild on Saturday" (line 14)- Simile.
This line is an example of a simile since it compares how the author is burning with the fire gone wild. It is used to tell the audience how desperate he is for love or how horny he is.

" 'Cause I got that boom boom..."(line 11)- Onomatopoeia and a symbol.
Since a onomatopoeia is a word which imitates a sound, it is clear that "boom, boom" is an example of it. In this case, it could be a symbol too, representing something good about the author's personality or appearance. It also helps the rhythm of the song.

"I see the magazines working that Photoshop. We know that shit ain't real"
(line 13-14)- Metaphor.
In this line, the metaphor is "shit", referring to Photoshop. By using this figurative language, the artist emphasizes the bad, stupid and fake that the Photoshop is.

" "Cause every inch of you is perfect, from the bottom to the top"(line 16)-Hyperbole.
Even though the human body is perfect, the beauty idea makes it look full of imperfections. Following the beauty stereotype, not so many people are perfect. What the singer wants to communicate with that hyperbole is that people don't have to be like the beauty idea. Trainor is trying to make clear that people can be perfect in their own way.

"... I won't be no stick-figure, silicone barbie doll"(line 19)- Metaphor.
With this metaphor, the author is saying that she won't have a fake body. She states that she likes and respects her body. She won't go through plastic surgery or become obsessed for having a hot body.
