         <description><![CDATA[<div>With your team...<br><br><strong>1. Put binder p. 5 in a clear sleeve.</strong><br>2. Determine the fraction for each point on the lines.  <br>3. Shade ½, 2/4, and 4/8.  <strong>What do you notice? </strong>(equivalent) <strong>What do you wonder?</strong> (why didn’t we shade the thirds?)<br><br>1. Title your poster "Equivalent Fractions"<br>2. Divide your poster into 4 quadrants.<br>3. <strong>Write equivalent statements</strong> in the first quadrant using what you learned from the number line.   <br> ½ = 2/4 = 4/8.  <br>4. Cut out the fraction tiles and circles for the fractions above.  <strong>(binder p. 6-7)</strong><br>5. Label the unit fraction for each one. <br>6. Glue them onto quadrant 1.<br><br> <strong>Repeat using the fractions below:</strong><br><strong>Quadrant 2</strong>: one-third<br><strong>Quadrant 3:</strong> two-thirds <br><strong>Quadrant 4:</strong> one-fourth <br><strong><mark><br>Challenge/Early Finishers:<br>Use your fraction tiles to find more equivalent fractions and add them to your poster.</mark></strong><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
