However, after learning about architecture, beauty does in fact have a standard. In the case of structural design, the beauty lies on its form and function. A functional architecture of a structure is not beautiful unless it can perform its function adequately and acceptably. Prior to the class, I usually see structures as how they are, except those with historical significance. I do not dwell on its form to understand its use nor do I take time to observe the little details as I find it tedious.
