1)After this learning journey, I think that it is important to achieve food security as Singapore imports more than 90 percent of our food and we operate in a global environment where we face a multitude of risks such as volatilities of the global food market, impacts of climate change, geopolitical decisions, and disease outbreaks.

2) 1 interesting or new piece of information that I learnt from the learning journey is that there are 2 types of worms that are allowed in Singapore.

1.I think it is important to achieve food security because if other countries stop supplying us with food we still have som stored away.

I think that Singapore needs to achieve food security so that is there is a serious crisis or if countries stop importing food to us we still have food to eat.

I think that it is important for Singapore to achieve food security so that we are not very reliant on other countries for a resource that is very important to us. Being reliant on another country can lead to them "holding us hostage" by not providing us food in return for something or even just to damage Singapore.
I learnt that City Sprouts was built over the previous Henderson Secondary School.

1) I think it is important for Singapore to achieve food security, this is because more than 90% of Singapore's food is imported from overseas, and if there is anything disrupting the other countries which transport food to Singapore, it may affect the food for the country.

2)I find it interesting that earthworms don't have a particular gender, as they have both male and female body parts.

I think that it is important for Singapore to achieve food security so that we wont have to reply on other countries for food as if they stop providing us with food, we can still support ourselves.
I learnt that plants reduce heat in closed spaces by turning carbon dioxide into oxygen and that certain plants are grown together as they help each other to grow.

I think it is very important for Singapore to achieve food security

I learnt more fun facts about the place, like that it was originally a secondary school, but now is used to teach children about plants, and food security's importance, or earthworms

1. it is important for Singapore to achieve food security as if not, our food suppliers could use supplying food to us as a threat, causing Singapore to be vulnerable

2. i learnt that hydroponics is an alternative way for plants to grow, and it also requires less labour and water

4. we could only order what we can eat, if not, we could ask the vendor to give us less food. if we are still hungry after the meal and need a quick snack, rather than buying something more filling and not being able to eat the rest of that food, we could either ask the food vendor to add on more food to the meal or just not eat anything.

It is because we import 90% of our food. This may case violations in the food market, impacts of climate change and disease outbreaks which i think.

I learnt that worms have no gender, they also eat cardboard and paper for some reason and if they eat citric acid foods such as CHEESE their insides melt or skin burns.

1.i think it is very important for Singapore to achieve food security as most of our food is imported from other countries .and when there is a global crisis happening and all world trades stop and we are unable to import food, we wont have anything to eat or drink and that might lead to death.

It is good for Singapore to achieve food security as food needs to be processed properly to be consumed by buyers. If there is no food security, the food might be rotten or not well produced.

I think that it is important for singapore to achieve food security as in the future there may be a situation where there is another pandemic , as a result we cannot import food from other countries. If Singapore is able to produce our own food then we will not run out of food.
I learnt that in hydroponics , plants will not be able to grow healthily without adding in some additional nutrients vital to plants growth.

After my learning journey, I think that it is important as Singapore only has a limited amount of space. Thus, we cannot have as many farms ( to grow our own supply of food ) as we want to.

After the learning journey, I think that it is important to have food safety in Singapore to protect Singaporeans in case of any contamination in the food.
Earthworms can help fertilise the soil with their waste and they can eat almost everything.

Aquaponic and hydroponic.These are different ways of growing plants, and is something I learnt when I went to city sprouts.

It is important for Singapore to achieve food security so that we don't have to rely on other countries for food. Especially because if one day the country that we rely on does not have enough food to spare for us then that would mean we would not have enough food for everyone.
I ate a leaf that at first tasted citrusy then became sour and felt like grape skin after chewing for a while. I also learnt about earthworms and that they create little tunnels in the soil to allow the plant roots to breathe. Earthworm poop also helps to provide nutrients to the plant to help them to grow better.
