Students feel much more comfortable in a book club for a reason; students feel more at ease and confident when they are placed in a much friendlier setting. In my experience with Book Clubs, students appear much more eager to participate in conversations. They feel comfortable around their peers; they do not experience the same pressure they would feel when standing in front of a classroom. Students will feel much more obligated to speak, enabling the start of thorough discussions and debates that may brought up from interpretations of literature and other forms of literate discussions.

The classroom circle makes the students feel much more involved with their classmates. "Healthiersf.org" discusses how educators that utilize these circles will better the students psychologically. Not only do the students learn ways to "enhance positive and supportive connections with peers" and they will also learn how to "better communicate" (8).

http://www.healthiersf.org/RestorativePractices/Resources/documents/RP%20Curriculum%20and%20Scripts%20and%20PowePoints/Classroom%20Curriculum/Teaching%20Restorative%20Practices%20in%20the%20Classroom%207%20lesson%20Curriculum.pdf

Mathematics is not a recommended class for such an Instructional Habit. Classroom Circles are a place of discussion, not something that is applicable with mathematics. With mathematics, the educator teaches formulas and the like. Classes that inspire debates, conversation, and discussion are ones that lean more towards the Dialogue Circle

This video is a great example of Dialogue Circles being used for much younger students. Notice how the aspects of the circle promote organization. The teacher has the students perform "check-ins" and also has students hold an object before speaking. These keep the students organized but also have them become a part of the conversation instead of just looking at a teacher in front of them.

Confidence is key in business. Success in such a field demands that one be capable of strong communication skills and the capability to remain calm and willing to discuss. A shy and timid individual, in their early stages, would need to slowly get used to talking with others, which are concepts brought to light due to the Classroom Circle.
