Chapter 149, "I was excited. When I started writing my book there was only one mystery I had to solve. Now there were two."

This speaks to Christopher's character. It shows that he's not emotionally driven, but rather fact driven. This tells about how he sees other things, too, such as the murder of Wellington and how he feels about math.

Chapter 89, “But on the third day I kept my eyes closed all the way to school until

we got off the bus because after I have had 2 Black Days in a row I’m allowed to do that.”

This was a significant part of the story because it shows the level of thought that Christopher puts into things, which tells much about who he is as a person. If Christopher naturally puts this much thought into everything, than I see why math comes so naturally. Additionally, I see why thinking logically comes so naturally, too. Christopher thinks thoughtfully about all of his decisions, and even plans out the criteria for having a good or bad day.

Chapter 137, “Then, because it was Saturday, he said he was going to take me on an expedition to show me that he was properly sorry, and we were going to Twycross Zoo."

This was a telling part about Christopher's Father's character because it shows that he manipulates Christopher. When somebody does something or buys someone something when they do anything wrong, it's an abusive tactic. By doing this, the person who did something wrong will be more likely to do it again. In this instance, Christopher's dad would be more likely to hit him again because Christopher forgave him.

This picture is about the part when Father took Christopher's book when it was lying on the table. At first, Christopher thought his dad would like the investigation but he got mad instead. After his father saw the book, he took it. This is an important part of the book because the actions that follow this show that Christopher doesn't give up if he is dedicated to something.
Chapter 79 and 127

It's very layered, and it shows that Christopher is a well-developed character that seems nonfictional.
Chapter 103

This song connects with the theme of family, especially in the beginning of the novel. This song talks about being present for another person in a time of need, and that's what family should be there for. Christopher relied on his dad and trusted that he would always tell him the truth. Additionally, this song could also speak to the betrayal that Christopher feels from his dad. Although Christopher has strong feelings right now, they will eventually pass and he'll feel better.
