I worked on separating and taking care of this ZZ houseplant. Initially, the plant was housed in one pot with many dead attachments. I have since cleaned it up and separated the plant.

Today I began the first steps in preparing basil plants for the friends of the poor. This included prepping the fifty-cell insert, planting the seeds, and watering!

Propagation is a process that involves creating new plants from existing plants. For some of these plants pictured, I separated part of the plant from the main growing plant. Eventually, we will have more kinds of that plant through propagation. I also transplanted some of these plants to bigger pots so they can grow larger!

Today I had a great opportunity to donate the parsley and basil plants to the people at 'Friends of the Poor' today. This was a great opportunity to get involved with the community and help out. Afterwards I finished out my day watering and organizing plants at the green house!
