In What you Eat is Your Business by Radley Barko, he states his position concerning the government's involvement in Americans health. Radley first goes over specific actions, for example, the calling for a "fat tax". He also goes over other actions taken by the government to fight obesity in order to keep Americans on the healthy side. He then states his opinion on how obesity is addressed more as a public problem rather than a personal problem.

Americans choose fast food on the daily and it impacts us negatively. But who should pay for the consequences? "What you eat is your business" is an article by Radley Balko who makes the claim that the people should be responsible for their own health, not the food companies. If the government is paying for most "obesity" medication anyways, people have no motivation to stop with their unhealthy lifestyles.

"What You Eat is Your Business," by Radley Balko states that it isn't the fault of the food industry on why people are obese. Its referring to the responsibility of the person on what they want their health and body to be. Also that Congress is not handling the obesity concerns correctly. Because they shouldn't advertise about banning snacks and soda from school campus and vending machines. They should excursive, eat healthy and diet to avoid obesity and to maintain a good health.

In Radley Balko's "What You Eat is Your Business," the author is asserting that our government is overly involved in its fight against obesity and that obesity is in fact not a public health issue. Balko emphasizes this by giving the example of government agencies paying for people's high cholesterol medicine when that does not stop people from still eating high cholesterol foods. He explains that if people are not held accountable for their actions then the issue will continue to grow larger.
