The number of maps and compasses provided to the group is insufficient. Perhaps the group size is too big to consider orienteering. In NCC, their orienteering group size is less than 10 cadets. I would like to suggest the following:
1) Sec 2 will have their ATC Camp in Ubin & Sec 3 will have their STC in HRC format. (Meaning no stay in) 

2) We can also consider reducing our camp to 2D1N as with the new outdoor programs a lot of activities are repeated. I would suggest for ATC to be just 2D1N because if u realize, the last day is just area cleaning. Hence my suggestion is to start the camp on Friday morning (E.g. 8 - 9 am) and end on Saturday evening like 5 pm. If NCC Steel camp can allow students to go for camp during curriculum time, then why not for ATC?

To remove STC because all sec.3 already have OBS & Level camps. And adding on the Unit Annual camp...it will be like 4 camps for the Sec.3.

NPCC can consider a shift in its emphasis to keep it relevant to the climate of MOE right now. 

For example, UT and CSI are things unique to NPCC and we can emphasize on these more, while combining ATC/STC to make time for the former.

On top of that, we have Annual Unit Camps. On an average, every cadet would have 2 NPCC-related camp and 1 Level camp per year.

If intention of ATC/STC is for the cadets bond within the area, Area Games Day and other courses would have covered that. 

3D2N with Day 1 gone with tent pitching and Day 3 being area cleaning, then we should cut it down to 2D1N, just to let the cadets "feel" that it is camping with authentic kerosene-lit campfire. 

Although tent pitching is the authentic way of camping for NPCC cadets, I think its time to move away from the traditional tents into the new 4-men tents that is being used for actual camping so that the time spent to pitch can be used to spend on other meaningful activities. ]]> 2018-11-01 04:02:36 UTC https://padlet.com/npcclcs/camps/wish/299240540
