The water at the top of the image is a lighter blue than the bottom, indicating that the photograph was likely taken during daylight not too far from the surface. There is a group of help gathered loosely on the righthand side of  the image. The top and the bottom cannot be seen. The stalk is thin, with small circular bulbs interspersed along it. The leaves coming off of it are thin and floppy with a translucent green colouring. The leaves towards the centre of the image are more yellow-green.   

Connotation: When I see sea kelp I think of films I have seen where someone is drowning and can't come to the surface because their legs have become tangled in sea kelp. the photograph however, looks so serene with the sunlight drifting in. Ocean scenes feel quite dreamlike and remind me of the strange dissociation that happens when both underwater or in a dream. Nothing feels quite real. Some people may see this image and be reminded of scuba diving on holiday, while others may be reminded of experiences they have had nearly drowning.

Shown is Klimt's painting 'Death and Life'. The photograph shows a square composition. The painting is quite flat-looking, with the background painted with thin layers of blue over yellow, so the yellow can be seen and blends to look green.  On the top left side there is a skull painted in blue-grey. Below the skull the skeleton is holding a long thin orange object, which looks like a candle or perhaps a wind instrument. Aside from the hands and the skull, the skeleton is covered entirely by a long patchwork of purple, blue, and black. This runs down in a flowing straight line to the bottom of the composition. The patchwork 'cloak' is loosely covered in small black circles with a white outline, and black crosses outlined in white as well. The crosses vary in size. 

The right half of the painting is covered (aside from a small triangle of background at the top right) in figures and quilt-like patches of pink, orange, and sometimes blue squares, blobs, and circles. At the top there is a row of four figures, all of which are adult women apart from a baby second to the right. the woman in the middle has her eyes shut and is leaning towards the baby with one hand around it. Right below the baby there is the head of an older woman, then a man leaning downwards below, then another woman leaning downwards below him. All of the figures have been painted a blue-white apart from the man at the centre, who is tan. Most of the bodies are covered with this patchwork of colour. 

Connotation
Historically, skeletons are clear signals of death. This is exemplified by the dark colours worn by the skeleton, as well as its hunched posture, as if it is waiting for something to happen to these living people. None of the people, however, are looking at the skeleton. Their eyes are shit, or looking towards something else. Most of the bodies are facing away from death towards another person. They seem to be protected by this blanket of orange colours. In Western cultures orange is associated with the sun, with life. The green and pink circles at the top could be interpreted as flowers. Here is a square photograph of a chair, which is centred and fills most of the composition. The chair has four dark brown legs which taper in slightly towards the ground, and splay out a little away from the chair. The legs join with a thick blue-grey cushion, and the chair has a back which would reach the lower-mid back on a person of average height. The chair has no arms. The back of the chair is made of a cushion the same material as the seat. The back cushion extends to each side slightly more towards the top than it does at the bottom. The cushion curves slightly so the  middle x axis of the cushion lies further back than the sides. there are 8 vertical furrows in the back cushion.

Connotation

The muted colouring and the small size of the chair gives the impression that it is quite expensive. It doesn't look like a very practical chair because of the lack of arms and the short back cushion. It also looks like it sits fairly close to the ground, so may be meant for the living-room or a sitting room. Because of its minimalism, its muted colouring, and its emphasis on leisure rather than functionality for something like work, this chair may be aimed at someone who is well off and older, as it's assumed that people accrue money as they age.
