Power sharing is desirable as-
(i)It avoids concentration of power and safeguardes the rights of the minority who will be effected by the actions of the one who hold the concentrated power ultimately preventing civil unrest. eg-(In Belgium, power sharing resulted a civil rest between french and Dutch. While Sri Lanka had to suffer a civil war losing thousands of people due to civil unrest between the social groups)
(ii)It provides stability to the government and social order if organs of the government share power in a proper manner eg-(Lack of political stability caused the crisis upon Germany, prior to WW2.Something which power sharing could have provided)
(iii) It is the very spirt of democracy which is a form of government considered as the best in the modern era.

Power sharing is desirable because:
i. It ensures representation of all divisions of the society including the minorities.
~For example: The Central Government of Belgium ensured equal representation of all the linguistic groups. (Dutch and French)
ii. It gives the people who are going to be affected by the exercise of the same power, a chance to participate and be consulted on how they want to be governed.
iii. It also reduces the chances of violent conflicts among the different sections of the society in case of disagreements by providing a structure to solve the issues in a civil manner.
~Such conflicts generally lead to political instability and thus, power sharing is a good way to ensure the stability of political order.
~Sri Lanka's majoritarian government upset the Tamil speaking minorities a lot, which in turn led to Civil War in the country; hence disturbing political order.
~On the other hand, Belgium's 'Community Government' is good example of how power sharing can help establish political order.
iv. Lastly, power sharing is the very spirit of a democracy. So sharing of the power with the people it is going to affect is only fair.

It involves sharing of power with those who are affected by exercise and who have to live with its effect.
Eg:- Decentralisation of power in India through the formation of local, state and central govt. operating at different levels.

Power sharing is desirable as following reasons :-
1 It reduces the possibility of conflict between social groups
As it lead to violence and political instability so by sharing power it ensure the stability of political order
2 Tyranny of the majority ie,not just oppressive for minority but as well as majority
3 People voice form the govt ie , power sharing is very spirit of democracy
4 In a democratic country it involve those who are affected by its exercise and also those who have to live with it, People have the right to be consulted on how there are going to be treat .
5 Power sharing is the very spirit of democracy which is - moral reason
And Power sharing ensure the stability of political order which is - prudential reason

For Example as we know that in Belgium they community were basically divided into two major groups
1Dutch speaking people - 59℅
2 French speaking people -40 ℅
But in the capital city (Brusells)the majority of the people speak french (80℅) whereas the Dutch speaking people were less (20℅)

It created tension between this two community during 1950 to 1960
So in order to share Power the govt handeled the constitution very well. Between 1970 to 1993 the belgian leaders amended their constitution four times in order to come up with a new model to run the country
The belgium model was very complicated but it helped to remove the basic civic strife between the two major communties
