After I learned where my plastic waste goes, I felt a deep sense of responsibility in managing my plastic usage. I felt a regretful for the countless plastic bags, bottles, and packaging materials I had mindlessly discarded, unaware of the long-lasting consequences.I vowed to take immediate action to reduce my plastic consumption, embrace sustainable alternatives towards plastic waste.

3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

2. Does your community have rules in plastic waste collection?
Yes they have rules which involve in the segregation of plastic and the proper disposal of plastic.

3. What does your community do with all that trash? Are they burned? Or buried? Or transferred to other places?
All of the garbage gets transferred to a sanitary landfill.

My Thoughts:
I feel happy and hopeful because my community dumps the trash that they collected into a sanitary landfill instead of a landfill. At least a sanitary landfill benefits the environment unlike the landfill which affects a person's health.

I learned that each plastic waste has its own story, some of them become a part of pollution and a cause for a threat in Marine life, but some plastics are lucky enough to go in the recycling bin to be created into a different product. I learned that we should recycle plastics more often and throw them in recycling bins in order to not affect to much of the pollution.

After careful examinations in my area, most of wastes are either trapped in sewers, piled up around the sides of buildings, randomly thrown in places including the streets, and plenty more. Wastes are absolutely everywhere, it's as if in every glance I take in my surroundings, my eyes will constantly locate garbage. It just shows how filipinos, or in general, people, can be so irresponsible of their own trash that they can't even make time to throw them in proper trashcans.
