We look into ourselves however way we want. When another person inserts there opinions, most people would also include that opinion of our self, making despite the opinion not yours, a realisation that you would probably believe after hearing it for several times.

Our perception of yourself is made by yourself, however, people will still be able to comment on us, and that will ultimately influence how we view ourselves, which is not exactly a good thing.
