This book is great to use in an art lesson because the colorful yet simple illustration is fun and unique because it provides the perspective of ants during spring as everything is blooming and changing. I also think that this is a great book because it is easy to create an art lesson plan with it because children can either make and set of a cartridges or Rainbow paintings and even make flowers with an endless variety of different materials. This provides teachers with a really flexible and creative outlet to think of something brand new if they don't want to do the ones I listed. This book is also great because let's teachers incorporate steam into there student's curriculum at a young age. Because the book talks about Spring and how flowers grow once they have been planted is a great segue into going into a science lesson as well. And activity could be where students get their own little planting kit and get to see their own siblings sprout. Also when teaching about different seasons this could be a great book to incorporate in the lesson as well. The text in this book is very simple and it has rhyming which is great to keep students attentive as well. Something that connects to the textbook is that the way this book could be taught by immediate relevance, this means that when the students are lectured on something, or in this case read the book, their next assignment will have to do directly with the book.
