The Quartering Act mainly affected the colonists. The act said that the colonists were required to give the British Soldiers a place to stay. Also to give any British Soldier food. No matter what they had to give them a place to stay. If they refused then they would be arrested.

The Writs of Assistance again mainly affected the colonists. The Assistance acted as a warrant for British Soldiers. This made it possible for the soldiers to enter any ship, store, house, or building. They did this if they thought there might contain smuggled goods. This is what the Writs of Assistance helped the British Soldiers with.

The Sugar Act affected the colonists in a negative way. The Sugar Act put a tax on molasses and sugar. The British had a lot of debt from the Seven Year War. The British put the tax on molasses and sugar to help pay of the debt. This is why the Sugar Act affected the colonists in a negative way.

The Stamp Act made the colonists very unhappy. This Act was also another way the British tried to pay off some of the debt. They put a tax on all things paper. Including things like newspaper, paper, even playing cards! This was another try by the British to solve the debt.

The Declaratory Act was kind of like a slap in the face to the colonists. The Act was saying that the British have the same amount of authority in America as they do in Britain. This Act came with the repeal of the Stamp Act. The British were basically telling the colonists to sit down and be quiet. This did not sit well with the colonists.
