Farkle is amazingly talented but sadly cannot decide which musical instrument to stick with. As with other works by Lithgow, Farkle McBride has humor, rhyme and lilt. It's a fun read and even more fun to listen to Lithgow read it on YouTube. 4th and 5th graders readily identify with all the characters in this rich, brave story. It's a great resource for character study as well as plot summary.
