Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. This basically means that you have the basic freedoms of speech, press, assemble, to petition, and religion. This has changed our country by letting us have a voice and knowing no one can judge you for it.An example of this amendment is, Morse vs. Fredrick. Morse vs. Fredrick is a case in which a student, Joseph Frederick, of Juneau-Douglas High School unfurled a banner that said " Bong Hits 4 Jesus".In this case the principal, Deborah Morse, took the banner from him not allowing him the freedom of speech.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. This amendment says that we have the right to carry guns. This changed our country by giving us something to protect ourselves hopefully making us feel more safe. An example of the second amendment is the court case McDonald vs. Chicago. In this case an argument from three men caused a ban from registered hand guns. The people of Illinois complained that this was violating there second amendment rights. The U.S. Supreme Court determined that the right of individuals to keep and bear arms had indeed violated their second amendment rights.

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. This means that no solider will be quartered in your house without consent of the owner. This has changed our country by giving us the freedom to live in our home and feed our selves instead of ourselves and some random solider. An example of the third amendment is Engblom vs. Corey. In Engblom vs. Corey a national state guardsman
