It all started normally with a breakfeast call. Then with a death call, the hovercars roaring and dominating the sounds coming into the ears. With many Special Curcumstances pretties quickly invading our Smokie city many of us did not stand a chance of escaping. 

Altought many of us got captured by those horrible pretties, some of us persisted. The Boss found a way to escape with around 200 years of Rusty-era visual culture. One of the main conflicts is man against society. We all live in a world in wich society reigns over all of us. Some people do not want to follow society's norms. Changing what they wear, how they think, dissagreeing with popular beliefs, and having a complete different view of life. In this novel, many people disagree with their society's norms. Not wanting to become a pretty is a thing many people do not want to do. In the novel, the Smokies is a group that does not want to become a pretty. 

Man vs Self
After being confronted by people like the Smokies who do not want to become a pretty. It is not down to you to deside what actions you will take. Your values are now in question and your morals to. Men also look at how people look at them. How will that action  affect how people will look at you. In the novel,  Tally does not want to become a pretty, but she still has a conflict in her at the begining of the book. She is mainly a cartoonish type of antagonist by having no redeeming qualities. Dr.Cable is the antagonist in the novel, becuase she antagonises on Tally, leading the anti-Tally division of Special circumstances. Dr.Cable is not a character in the novel that does not get much "screen time". At least it is easy to know that Dr.Cable is the evil character in the book with other characters saying evil things about her or herself (Dr.Cable) saying mean and

I think that this book is well written, it has alot of interesting passages throughout the whole book. The book is not only talk but also action. You would not get bored reading this book. There is always something that is keeping the story interesting.
