Governments need to value teachers more - relook at salary structures and support. Make teaching more desirable… as passion is merely not enough if you cannot afford an average lifestyle.

Reallocation of funds to schools. Create programs where schools collaborate to create and share resources with one another. 

Ensure that management structures in schools are consistent with discipline/ school rules etc. create platforms for parent/ teacher communication to ensure that expected behaviour is the same in the school and home environment. Teachers are adequately trained to understand and deal with learners with behavioural challenges and are provided with effective guidelines and support from the school

There is a lack of qualified teachers I'm South Africa. This is due to qualified teachers leaving the country due to poor working condions. It is also due to matriculants not wanting to study teaching due to the poor working conditions and pay

Solutions
There should be incentives provided for teachers which will help encourage teachers to stay in South Africa. Many schools choose to employ educators who are studying part-time which makes it difficult for newly qualified and current graduates to obtain a job. Remarks are also made about newly qualified educators as they are often seen as someone who is “unfit” or “lacks formal experience in the classroom”

Discipline is another factor that contributes to the challenges faced by educators within a school and classroom setting. Because of bad discipline, teachers aren’t respected as much as they used to be. If a teacher tries to correct behavior, the teacher is seen as biased and negative towards the child. 

SOLUTIONS: 
• Newly graduated and qualified educators should be given first preference when it comes to being given or placed in a school. These educators have spent 4 years volunteering in the form of Teaching Experience at schools and should not be robbed of this opportunity. There should be ample job vacancies since their is a lack of educators. 

•Stricter measures should be placed in schools especially high schools to instill fear and gain respect from learners. I don’t believe that the curriculum we are currently teaching as well as the prescribed methods that go along with it are approached or remotely promote inclusion. Perhaps repairing schools could be a community project because the government doesn’t seem to care much.
